- FINISHED!!!!!!!! FINALLY!!!!
It has taken almost a year to complete this fantastic build. In fairness, there were long stretches where I was away from home and couldn't devote myself to this wonderful build. I think if I was home for a month straight, and had nothing to distract me, I could have finished it in that time. But we all know that isn't how life works ; )
Please subscribe to my channel to see the rest of my builds and to get updates on my latest videos. The next kit, is one I have already started. It's time to finish the Albatros DVa by WingNut Wings. I don't even think you can buy this kit anymore...

Congratulations Ben ,.........................It's so refreshing to see someone your age carrying on a dying art ,.....and you have done a magnificent job on this . I have been building these things for over 60 years and watched every minute of this series and enjoyed it so much , and learn't a few things as well ,..thank you .
Get yourself a brass plate with the ships name on it for the woodern stand . Once again , "WELL DONE" .Ron By the way you would make a good instructor ...lol Cheers
Stairs are ladders and the devices towed to clear mines while underway are called paravanes, excellent job!
You gave the O'l BB 39 justice. She's real beautiful. U.S.S. Arizona, 1916-1941.
Total Awesomeness.......
Watched the whole build so I know the effort, sweat, tears you have put into this Ben. An absolutely fascinating build to follow and a stunning final display....lot of inspiration taken from this...well done and thank you! 🤙🤙👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Awesome! Good job! What a beautiful memorial to the lost Arizona and her crew! 🇺🇸👍👏👌

Hi my daughter and myself are going to Hawai soon .We are going to visit the Arizona and now I have a much better idea what she really looks like. Lovely peace of art . Steve U.K.
ES-PEC-TA-CU-LAR...! Great work and great artist You are...!
Fantastic work. You are a very skilled modeler. Thanks for sharing, Dave
WOW.....She turned out Great!! Nice work and attention to detail......
The railings are gorgeous. Awesome crew figures.
Incredible miniature replica! Wish I could own one! Just looking at it, I can see that it was a labor of love! I actually stood in the Arizona memorial a few years ago when my wife and I visited the island of Oahu! Saw the turrets sticking out of the water, and some of the hull from inside the memorial building that straddles the wreckage of this legendary battle cruiser!
What can I say my friend that I haven't said before? I truly enjoyed watching you bring her to life! You should be very proud of the job you did!! I know that at least 1177 men would be!! Congrats!! I hope her little sister turns out half that good!!
Beautiful workmanship.
Congratulations.
Job well done. ⚓️
What an amazing job. Any museum would be proud to display that build. Keep up the great work.
"Fly Casual" love it! Good job Ben.

Awesome, Mike!!!!! I’m excited for you!
@@TheMidwestModelShop Thank you Ben, I'am going to talk
With Starke County glass here in Knox, Ind. Get the plexiglass I need for The Arizona and Missouri. Have a great week Ben!
All it needs is one of my leaded glass display cases. Beautiful modelling.
That is super, super awesome. Love that era of battleships anyway, and at this scale and detail, it really does look museum quality.
Beautiful job well done. It's sad to think about all those young men that lost thier lives on that ship. A nice tribute to all of them.
it belongs in a museum... amazing work
Beautiful and fantastic job my friend, I am going to build mine in the early 30's grey scheme.
Sweet.
I appreciate the figures to get a sense of how massive these battleships were.
You built that awesome ship with the precision and skill of a surgeon. You have an eye for detail with artistic prowess. In other words, you're a fantastic master modeler!
You've done a fantastic job with that model. I love 1:200 scale ships. I have the Missouri in that scale with the full detail up kit, and it looks awesome just sitting in the box. Your best model will always be the next one, no matter how good your last one was! Regards, Solomon
Wow... Missouri My favorite one :)
Wow. Impressive. The wood deck is awesome.
Mine model is coming in a week a think. Cant wait, Thanks to your videos, you have reignited my passion for taking on the big one.
Id be proud of myself just building one of tbe lifeboats so well. You are a model boat Jedi!
It looks great! you did a good job...that would look good in a museum.
Great job. Your videos are very helpful with your knowledge of little pitfalls to watch out for. You shouldn’t worry about over doing damage either as the Arizona was an older ship she surely would have some wear and tear. Rigging has always been a test of my patience.
Great videos and great build! Got some good tips and motivation. Thanks for posting!
Glad you enjoyed building the ship, you did a fantastic job of the kit.
Well done! Appreciated the quality and value of your entire video build series.
Really good build you did there, loads of construction fun 👍🏻
Fantastic work! Museum quality! More please!
Rob Salazar check out the Missouri build!
Labour of love and it shows, nice job 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Les Paul's in the background.. perfect...You have more guts that I do keeping them on a stand..my 81 Custom face planted due to Grandson...now they stay in the cases. Great model 👍
That was a spectacular job you did on the ship but the case as well. My hat is off to you sir! 😀
What a result - Brilliant !! You must be really proud of this masterpiece, Well Done. I binge-watched every episode and found the whole series fascinating. The finished model is beautiful, far beyond museum standard, and deserves to be on public display. I would agree with some of the earlier comments; a brass plaque and some flags would be the final icing on the cake and I like the suggestion of wooden 90° corner pieces on the display case. I'm going to take a look at your next build - you have set the bar pretty high with this one though.
Thanks for taking the time to film this, you make a great instructor.
All the Best,
Dougie from Scotland.
I just finished watching your whole build series for this, outstanding work. Can't wait to start mine in the stash!
This is very, very cool build. A long time ago, when I was in the Navy, I started on a model of the battle ship Bismarck. This type of detail is what I wanted to achieve. I failed miserably. Of course I didn't know what I know now. The reason I'm saying all this is because you have inspired me to try again. Maybe not the Bismarck, but try again. I wish I could find a model of the ship I was on, but I've had zero luck in over 20 years of looking. I saw one in France when we were there and have been looking ever since. It's made by a foreign model company and the model isn't available here. Possibly not available any more. And I've forgotten the name of the company. Again, very, very cool build. Thank you for sharing.
A very great job!! I love that model, it is a wonderful project!
That came out friggen awesome bud! Makes me want to build one now and was jacked to hear you are going to finish the WingNuts model, cant wait...;)
That's a awesome awesome awesome job done and the plexiglas case looks good as well. Keep up the good work sir. Thumbs up on the video.
Definitely museum quality! Congratulations.
Nice job. When I was a kid I put together a plastic model of the Arizona. My younger brother accidentally broke it with a baseball. It lost a lot of detail during the scale down process. Yours brings to life a lot of the tiny details. Reflects the heart and soul that put it together. Imaculant mantle peice.
I've never really been into models but this is fascinating excellent work. 👍
FAN-DAMN-TASTIC!!!! I really wish I could do something like that!!!
You said it’s not museum quality but I have to completely disagree with you on that. And to quote Indiana Jones….” It belongs in a museum!!!! “
After seeing your build I plan on purchasing this Deadnought. Love the structures of these old battle wagons. I am currently building the 200 scale Mikasa.
Wow, this looks great. Very well done!
Nice detail what a ship! Seamen and officers give a very lifelike appearance. I expected the officer on the bridge to move.
Came out beautiful...with all the extra details added made a beautiful build....props to ya bud.
Awesome Job! Looks fantastic and you clearly did the research. its very accurate! A pleasure to look at! Nice job on the case too.
Excellent work..great ship
Just watched all these videos, your attention to details is really impressive. Myself I have never built a ship, man, don't know that I could. Keep up the great work.
Very nicely built model.👍
What a magnificent ship! Just about to build it in 1/350 scale. Hope it turns out nicely. I wish i could make it at least half as awesome as this.
AWESOME MODEL!!! I AM IMPRESSED!
Thanks!
Great job! I did the 1/300 Nimitz and your right if it's not fun don't do it. Once again great job.
Absolutely gorgeous!!
Simply awesome. Super impressive!
You Have done a a FANTASTIC job on this kit. If 'Her Indoors' (wife) could read my mind at the moment I would get a smacked arse as I want one... Thank you for the videos of the build.
Stephen

Well done, it looks awsome, you should be proud of the job you have done. 👍👍👍
Very nice job sir. I really like the work you did on the radio antennas. And by the way, the mine
sweeping things are called "paravanes".
great work really great finish.well done.
First time I've see you and the work is excellent. And I have been looking for a Arizona for the last week or so. Very timely video.

Beautiful job!
Beautiful work. You should be proud. Congratulations.
Thank you! I appreciate it!
Beautiful build.
Outstanding.
Well done. While in Hawaii I went to the memorial and toured Missouri. I’m originally from Independence,Missouri and I’m very proud of it. As a child I had seen Harry Truman walk around the square for his daily exercise. My mother would say wave to the president. I was looking for LBJ rather than this nice old man waving back to me. My uncle Jack Creason was on the Missouri during the signing. He brought the representative for the Catholic Church on board from his ship. One thing I noted while touring the ship is it had kamikaze strike on the outer hull on the aft side. A dent just below the railing. The plane came in at ocean top level when it struck the ship. The debris and burning fuel killed many sailors manning the guns. The dent in the armor was never repaired and its still there today. As a matter of fact a photo was snapped from the ship of the plane just prior to impact. If you are ever reworking the model I hope you may be able to include this. It is indeed a part of the history of this ship and would have been present when it sailed into Tokyo Bay. Incredible job you have done here. Your work and dedication to this project is greatly appreciated. Young people will be able to look at this ship and appreciate the history it represents.
Awesome build. WOW!! Great video. You did a super job. Top shelf all the way. Papadan
Well Done ! Great build and nice series of videos ! - That part was well done too. Thanks for posting, Regards from Alaska.

Great work, you really pulled it off.
Very nice! I just picked up Trumpeter's Titanic today - last one at Brookhurst Hobbies. Once the aftermarket kits become available I'll start it. keep up the good work!
Thanks! I have one, too. Besides the detail kit, I need to finish the MO before I can start that build!
One of my all-time fave modeling series! Binge watched the entire thing from start to finish so in my haste to get to the next episode I may have missed some individual likes, but they all deserved it. Well done! Just a beautiful job.
WOW! Thanks John! I have plans for another build here that I hope to start next month some time! Hope you like it just as much!
