I purchased the same hub because of this video. Thank you my friend :)
Thanks for the video, really helped me understand the airbag removal and horn installation, which were a little confusing.
Awesome to hear, you already did your install? How’d it go

Yup.
Great vid bro bout to install mines td
Thank you! Hope the install was smooth
I'm having the same issues now with breaking or pressing the clutch, so if install quick release hub and a 330mm wheel, it would probably solve the issue?
I'm 6`2
I cut out some foam on my oem seat as well! I also added a 30mm spacer for the hub as well since mine isn't a quick release. Got it from rev9

Great video, but if you don't want the air bag I'll take it, I have the ugly 4 spoke one that only came on base 99's
Thank you! Currently keeping all oem parts at the moment. Hopefully you found something?
Hey nice video, were there any rattles with the airbag cable and is this 350mm or 320mm? Thinking about going with the 320 myself since I am a bit big for the stock wheel and my knees can't clear to heel toe properly.
Definitely go with the 320mm! If you go this route, I would suggest getting a boss hub steering wheel spacer from REV9 if you need the steering wheel closer to you. I just installed the 30mm spacer the other week and it brings the steering wheel closer and also gives me even more knee clearance.
Also if you do take out the airbag, it is recommended that a harness bar + harness is installed.
Also, I don’t notice a rattle. The entire car rattles though 😂
What size is the wheel in the video?
@@xxjohnxxDaBeast 320mm
@@joeltnguyenhey do you have the link for this spacer?
Did you get an alignment after? Or was it like straight straight first try ?
In my case, the shop that did my alignment had it crooked. When I installed the steering wheel it made it more apparent. Slight toe adjustment fixed it.
But when you install it properly it should be straight. You just need to make sure your alignment is already straight and that the steering wheel is straight during removal
Will the Miata run and drive without the clockspring?
Yes, but you'll lose horn function and I believe the turn signals don't turn off automatically.
I linked the hub in the description for miata. Make sure to select the right year!
@@joeltnguyen had a NRG setup. No clockspring. Turn signals were not effected. The clock spring just allows for the rotation of the horn connection. Also, thank you for the video. Since I have only done the NRG a few times, I didn't even realize I could use the clock spring and would totally have mucked this up. Thanks mate.
@@shaned4480 thank you for the info! The horn is a must in a Miata too
You have to have your airbag disabled though right? Like that wheel doesn't look like it's meant to fly at your face if an airbag deploys
The steering wheel with the airbag came off so there’s no air bag.
@@joeltnguyen my apologies man I realized that earlier I feel like a dummy lol
Haha no worries! Fun fact there was an oem eunos steering wheel in the Miata without airbags.
@@joeltnguyen that's wild lol
