This has to go down as one of the biggest cup shocks of all time. Fair play to Darvel, they've come a long way as a football club and deserve all the success they get. Jim Goodwin is under serious pressure now at Aberdeen as the sack seems imminent.

He has a knack of picking significant matches to cover. Aberdeen are nowhere near the level of the side Alex Ferguson managed but they're a decent SPL side and on paper this should have been an easy win for them, but Darvel had other ideas.
Sam is a credit to promoting Scottish football, better than what our organisations can do.
He does this for himself. It is to earn a personal income and in reality it has little if anything to do with promoting Scottish football.

Well done! Watching Scottish football history being made is the reward for all the hard work you've put in and all the "wee teams" you've supported. I'm in my seventies and this is easily the biggest cup upset I can remember. Bigger than Berwick Rangers v Rangers, bigger than Clyde v Celtic, way bigger.

I'm a Kiwi living in Pennsylvania and have been watching this channel for a few months now. Always great. I love non-league and the passion of the fans. What a night for Darvel, but also what a night for all non-league clubs, giving them the chance to dream that they too could achieve greatness. Would love to see Sam covering some of the amateur leagues, especially Uist & Barra or Skye & Lochalsh.

Just goes to show how high the standard of football in the West of Scotland League is. I always maintain it's a higher standard overall than the Lowland League and I'm yet to be proved wrong. Darvel is around the same size as Kirkconnel and Kelloholm where I come from (although Kello Rovers are 2 tiers below Darvel in the pyramid) so I can perfectly understand how big this result is for them. I continue to be very proud of the way you support the lower levels of Scottish football Sam. I haven't been commenting much lately, but still never miss your videos.

Quality independent coverage of a great football story - well done. On the other hand, that is the most basic football ground I have ever seen in my life for televised coverage of a game (the main cameras not yours). Are there no national/local sporting grants for facilities like change rooms, clubrooms, spectator facilities including undercover seating available for amateur/near amateur clubs in Scotland?
Alfredo, Darvel are in the SIXTH TIER of Scottish football and Darvel is a small town with about 3000 population. So a fantastic result for club and town.
