    Airbus SOPs wants you to say 56 as well

    You’re wrong, the “no more than 10degree” sentence is not correct. U have to rotate 3 degrees per second and the lift off occurs when u are passing 10 degrees of pitch. But u can rotate to 15 degrees and then follow the SRS after lift off.

    Where the heck where you when I was doing my A320 typerating? Your training videos are fantastic!

    "No more than 10 degrees of pitch" == non-standard, FCTM refers. Try this with an engine out and disappointment will follow ;-)

    Nice video, been looking for something like this for a while. Can you explain the process of rotating and how to avoid tail strikes please, also how does this differ to flying the a321. Thanks

    Flex 56*

    • @mayo250
      @mayo250 Před 3 lety

      No need to say 56, as is always the number you have inserted on the FMGS.

    • @s1mplyjames839
      @s1mplyjames839 Před 3 lety +1

      Tony Balboa You still need to say it well in my company anyways to confirm that the flex temp you have set in the FMGS is as what’s saying when you set thrust to flex! If you set flex and let’s say you read of man flex 64 and it’s meant to be 56 then you or the first officer will call that out and perform an RTO! Essentially we say the flex temp for safety protocol

    • @mayo250
      @mayo250 Před 3 lety

      @@s1mplyjames839 I told you, if you set 56 in the FMGC, the Flex in the FMA will be , always, 56. I agree that Airbus want you to say all the blue colours .

    • @s1mplyjames839
      @s1mplyjames839 Před 3 lety

      Tony Balboa That is correct but it is protocol just to ensure that everything is correct! As pilots we already know that it is gonna show what ever flex temp we set in the fmgs but like I said it’s like safety protocol

    • @Joshdavies146
      @Joshdavies146 Před 3 lety +1

      Tony Balboa under that philosophy, why do you have a landing checklist when you have already put the gear down?
