- Although most of the places that people usually live are kind of box-shaped and divided into spaces to perform all the usual human functions like sleeping, eating and peeing, sometimes people have placed those box-shaped dwellings in some especially unusual spots around the world. We have put together a brief list of just a few of the weirder ones.
From the coldest place on planet Earth to a micro-nation platform in the middle of the sea, here are 20 Strangest Places Where People Actually Live.

Hi From India I Wish The Hapless People( Children) Living In That Tunnel City ( Romania) Get Help And Support From Governments All Over The World As Well From United Nations And They Will Get A Clean Space To Live And Work So That They Can Breath Fresh Air
@Aussie True What does this have to do with anything? The point is that these are interesting and unique structures. We see the world we live in constantly - the fun of youtube is to see something different!
@Aussie True öö
What ??????
@vijaya kumari there's no tunnel city, just a bunch of homeless people improvising a shelter. They were taken out some years ago. It's a dumb example of the video's author
Or, rather than waiting until other hard working people and their governments (who love to waste the hard working people's money) to do something, perhaps they can get off their asses, get off the dope, and rise above their situation. Hell, maybe they don't even want to! Maybe thinking that they have sucky lives is a form of being judgmental. Maybe they're right where they belong.
@2:57: What he doesn't talk about is that along with the fish is the filthy water they must swim in~ imagine the waste product of a million people on a lake! YOU wanna eat those fish?
I would never be able to climb most of those places,so thank you for sharing them.
The girl dragging the bin through the snow at the end of the film from the cold city in Russia is Swedish, and the clip was filmed in Sweden, as you can see from the traditional red and white house behind her. Even the bin is typically Swedish. I should know, because I’m Swedish and have had to do the exact same thing myself!
It's all fake.

The wonders of the world are like a never ending story!
Passionate of our environment is how we implement our talents and creativity to them. These beautiful places have stolen my heart and takes my breath.
How can people live in such a cold place, all around the year, its just mind blowing to me.
What a depressing place to live.
Some real wonders of our world ,beautiful 😀👍👍
I learn something new everyday. Thank you so much for this
I wonder how they could manage to built on top of high rocks ancient years very strange to see this video thanks👌👌👌👌
I’m also from Australia, not all homes in Coober Peedy are underground but if you don’t like the heat then underground is the place to live.
And he pronounced it so badly
@@taiwanmark He pronounced a few things badly. He mangled the word "penchant" when descrbiring the Chinese version of Hallstatt.
We have been to Coober Pedy 3 or 4 times over the years. We lived in dug out accommodation twice for the experience the first time, and because we went again another time with a couple who hadn't been there. On other occasions, we lived above in the Big 4 and other places. It wasn't bad either. There was air conditioning. With the last trip we did about 4 years ago, the place has changed. The population has increased as well.
been many times to Coober Pedy and it is a bit of a shame that the part of this video was only very old. There are many very modern dugouts now, churches, etc. Not sure how old this film is.
Although I criticized Austria in China, I must admit that this was an amazing video in which you brought unusual dwellings to life. I truly enjoy watching the drone cameras do their thing. Bringing the world into our own homes is amazing. Thank you so very much!
@AussieTrue.....McDonalds....glue...boxes...concrete...pride...selfies...this is all so true.

Good, the Chinese can stay home now!
How many peoples were died to build the buildings on the dangerious places?
These r not only strangest but also unique, beautiful.
It should be tourist places.
Absolutely a wonderful documentary 👏
There are over 10 countries has reconstruct Chinese suzhou garden in their countries including US ,I think it’s just a respect and favorite to a iconic place/building.
Just like Hallstatt it will help the culture spread and let more people want to visit the original place. In fact two city really has that kind of communication and activities.
And the cliff villager, all of them got the free condos from government at near village, but some of them nostalgic or want to do business still live at the top of the mountain.
Absolutely fascinating- Well done. Thank you.
You should add the Taos Pueblo in Taos, New Mexico, to your list. It is one of the oldest continuously inhabited communities in the US and is about 1,000 years old.
Yes. I was raised in San Ysidro N.M.

Cars in Yakutsk are turned off. They use huge insulated blankets and electric heaters to keep them warm when they're not in use. You can literally find video of them on youtube.
It’s pronounced ’Koober Peedy’
I know right. I laughed when I heard his pronunciation of the place.
You beat me to it lol. It actually annoyed me for the rest of the video. LOL
Yeah that he said it so many times wrong annoyed the fuck outta me.
I came to the comments just to see if anyone said this.
Our world is amazing, thank you for the tour.😊
What an amazing world we live in.
So beautiful stories, thank you very talented researcher and story teller. SO AMAZING VIEWS. VERY BEATIFUL.
I was concerned how you're group choose photography to those men ingect ,there human very sick poor poor
If Andalusia is so hot, it makes sense for them to paint their buildings white.
Me and husband always say Chinese people think and do everything they are truly amazing at making things come in to reality
I think the ccp put a stop to chinese’s creativity though, all they do now is copy or steal innovation.
This is amazing!!! I LOVE this video!
Awesome and stunning videos🎉🎉
That’s not nice to wish a insect to crawl in their sleep if they don’t subscribe
I agree. Real turn off.
I was amazed at the temperature in Siberia. I lived in Minneapolis and though 30 below was bad. BTW, you cannot breathe the air when it's that cold and your joints don't work so well.
Just checking, I'm pretty sure that every image of China's Hallstatt, except maybe some street scenes, were of Austrian Hallstatt. The Chinese Hallstatt is not located in a particularly mountainous area.
This whole channel is fake. I wish people would stop subscribing to these fake channels choking CZcams with fake information.
Your videos are so awesome. It must have been really expensive to travel to all these places.
To travel to Bucharest is not expensive ( no.15)
What happens when the tide gets high or rainstorm? I’m afraid of heights so I couldn’t climb anything that high. How do they get the wood and other things to build this over there?
I wonder if the hanging temple of Hengshan was the inspiration for that cliff house in A Series of Unfortunate Events. It was almost certainly the inspiration for the Western Air Temple.
Living in Cliff Village 14:00 or Mount Fanjing 18:11 would totally suck when you have to carry in the groceries!! And accidentally falling down the stairs might hurt a little bit!😳
And when you getting old.
I have had enough trouble with the stairs in our being restored "mini" (just under 3000 sq ft) Victorian. We bought the place for a song, with the intention of it being one of the oldest in town and near downtown right in front of the library and somewhat historic we thought if we got it restored we might be able to sell it for up to $80,000 more than we paid and save a beautiful historic place in the process without it getting torn down or collapsing over time. But..I fell down the stairs three times and one of the times i was out for six weeks with a sprain ankle and living on the first floor for two weeks!
@@missusd1130 Hand rails. I never used hand rails because of filth, (prior to COVID). Then I fell and cracked a rib. The only thing that doesn’t hurt with a broken rib, is blinking. Now I use had rails and have hand sanitizer in my car. Hope your ankle heals without any problems.
@@u4riahsc Thanks. I still have trouble with the first toe joint and a couple of tendons but healing good. It was really bad. But I was LUCKY. NO FRACTURES!
Who else thinks Chong Khneas was the inspiration for the Fire Nation fishing village in ATLA?
this is such a beautiful video love it view is realking cool and amazing lovelovelove
Poking their selfie sticks all over the show lmao I dig this narrator...
Hhh
Hi from Australia. FYI Coober Pedy is pronounced Coober Peedy.
I'm live Australia to
Coo ber peed ee they're Americans you really have break it up
@@jamied8678 Yep absolutely correct on having to break it up. But to sound pedantic though we are talking about correct pronunciations, the correct spelling is Coo Ber Pee Dee. Thanks for your input. Have a wonderful day.
@@1toshi32 apologies I did have one letter wrong there lol .

Thanks for sharing 👍😀
The truly appalling invasion of tourism, completely negating the purpose of the orginal structure. What a crass, selfie-ridden world we live in.
M
Lmao without tourist most of these locations will just go to ruins due to lack of any livelihood for existing people. Would u rather people admire these places or let it go to ruins??!
@@inkbold8511 ....It's not about admiration. It's about, seen that, done that, what's next?Tourism shits on everything. That's its role in life.
@Aussie True ...I'm sorry, I can't answer as this is entirely incoherent. But keep well and healthy. Robert, UK.
@Aussie True What do you do, copy that paragraph and just keep inserting it?
How they build houses ,building on the top of mountain .amazing
Tunnels of Buckarest are insane, I had no idea how negligent Governments can be
I don't think that mess exists anymore, That was a few years ago
@@adrianagavan9951 thank God
I actually live in a wonderful cave house in a valley protected from the wind and with great terraced gardens!
please make more in every country so everyone enjoy thanks for sharying god bless you fr uk
The white village in Spain is awesome. I will see myself in Spain again in 2023...I will go there.
Pity that he has no idea how to say the name correctly. Setenil de Las bodegas in Andalucia is certainly worth a visit. Don't bother going on a weekday in winter as everything is closed.
They don't have block heaters in China? We get some miserably low temperatures here in Canada. We don't have to run our vehicles 24/7. We just plug them in so they will start. It works. Some places get down to minus 72. Still works.
The town is in Russia.
Siberia, but yes, I thought the same thing... What about a garage? My car won't start in New Jersey if it's outdoors on a really cold winter day, either!
Why are you obsessed with China? It is Siberia, Russia !!!!!
Ponte Vecchio is just like the Rialto Bridge.
10:33 The people from tunnels of Bucharest are not any more since 2014. That video was made by Channel 4 about Romania and the only thing about Bucharest was about that people which does not represent the reality of entire of the town. That case presented was a particular case. The authorities several times moved them (I remember some news from around 2012) to special buildings, but they also fled to the street, because they already had a life formed in a gang (leader + people of leader and others who lived next to them). All were tested seropositive.
There is a interesting place in California ... Joshua Tree, where they have built "Earth Bag" homes that look kinda like beehives.
We never got to go to Joshua tree ,because kids disaprered there.but I've seen those somewhere else they call earth pods.and another place one guy started it and you can ask to build one they will help you.everythjng is made out of stuff they gather and they have super nice houses full amenities make it as big as you want to I guess right.
They are known as "Earthship" homes in other parts of the southwest. The outsides look quirky and unusual with recycled materials, and the insides are beautiful, and like normal homes. There are usually tours offered for anyone who wants to see them on the inside, and how they work!
Buddhism, Taoism, and Confucianism are the three philosophies of the Hengshan temple (which was probably the inspiration for the Western Air Temple, by the way), so why was Legalism excluded?
It’s a great video to seeing all the places in different country which has beautiful view of strange town and cities.
Hi Deb
बहुत खूब
When a community lives on water, how do they dispose of their waste?
I wonder if anyone has ever fallen down those 8,000 steps.
Take a guess - I would not swim there...
I just wonder how they built temples on the cliff of the hills. So fascinating. 😲
Had to fill in the days somehow.😊
& i'm more worried for the people living in that village too
This is one of the most amazing video I have watched be assure I will watch it again and again. I'm sure with each watch I will discover new things about it. Thank you.
Amazing! But no thank you, some of those places I would never ever go,not even with parachute, they can come and go till they grow wings,I'm fine right where I am. I do enjoy watching, and find it very awesome .Thanks for sharing 😮😊 ✌ ❤
THANK YOU FOR BRINGING ME TO THIS 20 AMAZING PLACES. (BY VIDEO).
ENJOYED WATCHING.... SOME PLACES ARE BREATH TAKING.
WE CAN'T GO IN REAL....BUT FANCY BANANA SHOWED US THE GLORIOUS ARCHITECTURE OF DANGEROUS BUILDINGS IN THE WORLD.
THANK YOU 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
WOW!!! Amazing!! Who woulda thunkd!!! Bucket list ?? YESSS!!!
Hello guysss watching from philippines wooow amazing and beautiful relaxing and enjoying congrats,
I've never heard it put quite so well... "Bird murders"! 🤣
Wow, ang galing naman nila. They don't afraid the natural disaster too like earthquake and storm..
I love the plumbing an all of these places.
If I was fortunate enough to build and live at Casa do Penedo in Portugal, and have annoying intruders coming without appointment, I would definitely have an electrified fence around the crown of that mountain, with another fence inside that and half a dozen Dobermans keeping me company. Want to come for the view and a picnic, make a reservation! And do I see a swimming pool there on the edge? Also it's nuts to not have electricity with all that wind turbine generator power. Also, what kind of water source is up there? Rain cisterns ?
Very beautiful love it 🥰 👍🙌
🤔Very interesting video. Thanks. 👌👏👏👏👏🤝🤝
wished that lake Loktak from Manipur, India should be on the list. Its also a fantastic place....good video btw
No ninja turtles. Haha that was good
It would be awesome to have places and ships from Star Wars as a tourist attraction.
The village where Luke Skywalker was a child on Tatooine,is Chott el Djerid, in Tunisia, and part was filmed near Nafta in Tozeur.
That could be a whole new theme park.
Thank you so much for your video..❤️🇱🇷💖👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
I love your videos and all but the bug thing gotta go you gotta switch that up.
Very nice video thank you for sharing ❤
Very nice unique places of which i just saw it mow, thank you for sharing..
Very informative! Just...Way too many ads🥺
I would also add Goreme in the Cappadocia region of Turkey and Santa Maria de Montserrat in Catalonia, Spain.
Has anybody seen The Christmas Toy?
Such nice places that is makes me crazy to see people crawling all over these places like a bunch of ants. All the weird and remote places that the builders thought would keep the place out of the public eye are not overrun with human 'vermin' destroying everything. Even the world's highest mountain has people standing in line to get up there and leaving trash and waste behind. Nothing is sacred many more.
Bitter much?
Wonderful video
Very good videos
Loving this one thanks for sharing very information blessed love to all knowledge is power hopefully everyone pays attention keep up the good work 🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲
How sir beautiful all place

Hello from Georgia!!
To be included in the documentary: the tents where millions of homeless people live in the streets in the USA, even in winter.
That number one is really amazing,a rotating building
I think living in the coldest city in the world would be pretty c-o-o-l lol
That side mountain of beautiful houses awesome 😎
Such remarkable places. I would enjoy living underground or off the side of a mountain.
Excellent
The venusian canal was actually created based on the similar village in Beijing over a thousand years older. There is actually an official twinning of venice with the village.
It's pronounced cooper (you said that correctly) "pee-dee", with the emphasis on "pee". It is an opal mining town.
Thank goodness you mentioned this couldn't listen to the narrators ignorance!
Một đất nước Gian Ác !!!
amazing places, architecture and history. however, the heavy implication that people actually live in (a few of) these places that are entirely just historical, and mostly abandoned, tourist attractions that people just go for a hike and photos does prove the clickbait-y ness of these kinds of videos.
I would be happy to live in the monastery if Uber Eats delivers there.
🤣🌭🥨✌
It’s ridiculous to pick on China for replicating famous landmarks. In US, you will find Eiffel Tower, Pyramid, Venice canal, even its own statue of Liberty copied and reproduced in Las Vegas. You will also find flower field and windmills that are directly copied from the Netherlands in California. Not to mention numerous buildings that are doppelgängers of their European counterparts. Bigger countries like to import everything. Also check out the Hakka TuLou that looks like missile silos, in Southern China.
Typical usual American arrogance and patronising attitude.
