Tropical Fruit Grower

From The Film Australia Collection. Made by The Commonwealth Film Unit 1959. Directed by Ann Gurr and Joe Scully. The story of a young couple's start on a new farm. The film shows the way they develop it, and describes fruit farming, particularly pineapples, in the Nambour region of Queensland.

@@NFSAFilms was actually born in Brisbane in 1963 and have and had family up around that way some living up around Innisfail and working as cane growers and in the cane coop. My Uncle Lou actually fabricated cane wagons before he moved to Mount Isa with my auntie and cousins.
