Dolby atmos renderings work’s different compared to other codec’s. It adopts to the system which is been configured but u need to decoding chip to render atmos sound. Soundbar like these have a different chipset compared to an AVR chipset. Soundbar designs are available for free from dolby itself that’s why there are lot of soundbar comes out with dolby atmos batching

It's not about audio depth. It's about channel separation. In 3.1 channel sound bar you will get Left, Right, Center and SW. It won't even give a Dolby Digital Surround Effect. How can It give you Atmos (7.1.2 or 9.1.4) . Even if the sound bar is capable of decoding Atmos you can get only 3 channel separation only.

I own sony htg700.. that 3.1 soundbar uses virtual effect... but i never experience sound from height or back... and to experience dolby atmos full power you may need to use 4k blue player that outpits dolby atmos...with streaming it is a compressed audio

Its about matching impedance between Amplifier output and speaker coil (Input) impedance, impedance will be double when using in bridge mode and will be half in parallel mode when using same ohm value. Our final target is to match amplifier output and speaker input to get better energy transfer. Else will get loss and that loss will make disturbance in original sound wave also.

Atmos Audio's track is not channel based. Hence it starts from 2 channels, due to height virtualization technology you might get height effects, even though there are no speakers.
In sound bar , if you are going to 7.1.2 or 5.1.4 you will have good effect. But you can't compare with av receiver model Atmos setup. It's extremely different.
