She has been playing Elphaba on and off since 2015 on the US Tour, before Mean Girls, and after she finished Mean Girls she came back to Wicked but on Broadway as the Elphaba Standby. She became lead Elphaba last month and is expected to stay till next year!

I love mean girls. I can sing the entire musical. I prefer Barrett’s Janis though. The singing through the first part makes it seem hasty and less angry. All in all though, she is magnificent. Can definitely hear the Elphiba. Especially at the end

the lack of emotion in the first part, she was going way too fast with her dialogue and then she smiled in the main chorus which deosnt really fit the scene at all;;@@p0hen
@theinko3993 I think the smiling thing is a singing technique. When belting, it’s important to have space in the back of your mouth and smiling kinda helps with that. But I do see how that takes the emotion out of the scene
i think it's interesting to see the different janis and their different interpretations
