- Hello folks! Today I want to show you my new restoration project. This old rusty butcher cleaver I found at metal scrap yard. At first sight the cleaver had good weight and I made decision to bought it. First, I used electrolysis to remove all rusty and after use grinder to remove patina and made one similar shape on the cleaver blade shape. For cleaver handle I chose ash tree and three brass rivets and one single aluminum with hole. Further I used a two components paint to made black color and painted the axe handle. Finally, I made decisions to test my butcher cleaver on a chicken, due to after last videos, so many people said you should test meat cleaver at the meat. Okay, I hope you enjoy this restoration video.
Sincerely, Alex. Thanks for attention!
Good luck and health to everyone! With best wishes, Alex!

looks very dangerous, good job, I like the handle's color!
Thank you, mate!
Beautiful
And thanks for helping me to decide what to have for dinner tonight 🙂
You're the best sharp blade guy ever
Nice job! Thanks for your effort!!!
Great job I also restored a similar ax but made a embossed one there were large shells
I loved the shape of the handle. Great job my friend.
looks better than new
you are very good at your job, congratulations.
This is the meat cutters basic tool. This tool would cut through meat, gristle, and bone, making quick work of a side of beef. Nicely done, sir.
Love the mirror finish on it.
Very good restoration butcher’s cleaver 👍👍👍
The handle is beautiful 👍
Nice tear down, clean up and handle build. Beautiful restoration.
Look up a video on how to "spatchcock" a chicken. It would be a perfect way to use a restored meat cleaver. Also, a whole spatchcocked chicken cooks in less time than a whole uncut chicken. Perfect for grilling.
Should've placed a basket of fried chicken there too with the finished product. I have a jungle bolo that's in a weathered shape and after watching this video, I'm thinking of trying my hand in restoring it.
Spasibo i good luck vam!

Very good handle work but like a taper towards the blade. Would like to see the edge work too as well as a paper cut test.
Thank you for attention, sir. Due to at last video I received a lot of comments don't rest blade on paper or wood, I made decision used a chicken.
Good job! Congratulations .
Nice job, broberly better than new.
Watching this for the second time...great job,luv the chemical stain on the handle.....
👍🏻👍🏻 saw dust with epoxy makes it wood color
Good job. I like this video.
That’s an awesome result, great craftsmanship!!
Ficou perfeito

Good job. One suggestion; cut the scales, where they meet the blade, at a 45 degree angle.
Really like the 2 part stain your using

Beautiful job 👏🏻👏🏻
Trabalho maravilhoso.
es sieht gut aus
Beauty job ! Its a dangerous axe ! I like it !
Best regards !

Thank you so much, sir!
As always "like" from me.
In today's video I will restore "Old Rusty Cleaver". Excellent work 👍👍👍. Thanks for sharing. Next video I restore my old axe. LOL
Супер
I'm not sure if it would help but maybe mixing some powdered steel with the epoxy where you filled the missing metal to match a little better
Thank you for advice sir! I will try in next time. Regards.
Like your work! Only nag is from my own bad outcomes: loose sleeves while using rotary tools can really go south in a heartbeat, as I discovered. Even just rubber bands to secure the sleeves will help. I thought I was being careful but still got barked up pretty well.
Hello, thank you for attention, yes you're right sir, I forgot about this thing. I'll shorten the sleeves. Regards.
AWESOME!
Amazing ♡♡♡♡
Love it bro
I watched a lot of these kind of videos. But i was always wondering the subject weight before and after restoring. Cuz sanding and filling always take some metal. I was wondering if it make a noticable difference in mass. Please add a section to weight the subject before restoring and after.
If you will check my previous videos you will see. For exp: I restored a huge knife and knife lost around 600 grm.
😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎
It took much hardwork thats why Businessman says ... Smart work is far better than Hardwork
Amazing 😍
Great job.. how did you get your drill press to come down while you were holding the handle with both hands?
I asked my wife.
Screws And Tools lol! Easy enough then lol.
next do a restoration with that chicken
hahahah :D
Why not angle grinder from the start. Wire brush will take any thing off, Flappy discs great for next stage.
Hello sir, thank you for attention. Due to if I will used angle grinder without electrolysis or rust remover I would lost a lot of metal.
Po mne v ruke sidit good. Tk rezal kuricu i bilo ok.
😯😯😯👏👏
How does the pc power supply thing work?
Hello sir, thank you for attention. Sure. The power consumption of my pc power supply equals 400W. I used 12v for electrolysis effect, it's yellow cables. I combined 6 yellow in single cable and 6 black cables in single. The black cables I connected to staff that on which I apply electrolysis and yellow on stainless steel rod for example. After that I wait around 1 or 3 hours depending how many rut on stuff.
Awesome restoration!

Where are you in the world?
Old friend
✨️🪓✨️👍
If you're going to power sand something with an angle grinder anyway, then what's the point of removing the rust by electrolysis first? Isn't it redundant? Like wouldn't sanding it with the angle grinder just get rid of the rust as well?
Hello, due to the cleaver (stuff) contains so many rusty and dirty, also when using angle grinder there will be a lot of dust and loss a lot of metal.
Thank you for attention, sir.
Thanks. Good to know.
(Another beautiful job, by the way. That dark handle looks fantastic.)
wood
It is Good to watch but it is reallt useless you know why???? It takes tooooo long to make it and it cost how much??????? Will it give you 200$ US dollars???? Never but if you spend this quality time in doing such things which gives you more money and value thats much better thing ...time is Money
👍👍👍
