- Hello dolls, 🌼
today I'm explaining 1960s psychedelic fashion & psychedelia!
Late 60s psychedelia was a movement & art and music genre defying the end of the decade. But the art that soon was seen all over posters and albums actually stems from an art moevment almost 100 years earlier. Drawing huge inspiration from Art Noveau the late 60s saw a ressurgance of dreamy patterns and almost illegible fonts in art and fashion.
LSD, the hippie movement and Counterculture played a huge role in psychedelia coming from Haight Ashbury, San Francisco soon flooding the world. From the Fool, to the Merry Pranksters many artists played a huge role in popularizing psychedelia and soon popular figures like the Beatles and Rolling Stones were involved in the psychedelic scene.
Psychedelic rock bands like the Grateful Dead and Jefferson Airplane as well as Artists like Jimi Hendrix and Janis Joplin now stand synonymously with late 60s psychedelia.
From Acid Rock to the Monterey Pop Festival and Woodstock psychedelia played a huge role in the late 60s and while psychedelia only lasted a couple of years it truly left a mark on pop culture that still makes an impact on todays art, fashion and music.
Psychedelia was the Lovechild of the Hippies and the Mods living on the edge of Counterculture and the Summer of Love. A wonderful and unique time that'll forever be preserved in groovy music, dreamy fashion, unqiue art and wonderful films!
Sending you dolls the biggest hug, thank you for watching! 💌
All my lovin,
xx Emma 💌
Always remember that you are beautiful with & without makeup and that you don't need a lot of clothes to dress vintage! ⭐️

#60s #psychedelic #psychedelia
Literally the best style to ever exist ❤❤
Oh it truly is 💌
I used to type '60's style vintage dress' into ebay and scroll for ages but once I discovered terms like psychedelic, mod, and scooter dress I was able to find exactly the kind of style I liked. With the last psychedelic print dress I bought on ebay, I messaged the seller to say thank you and tell her how much I loved the dress, she sent a lovely reply saying she had difficulty parting with it and was so glad it had went to someone who would appreciate it 🥰🥰🥰
That’s such a beautiful story! Thanks for sharing doll 💌
I love to reach out to sellers and talk about their pieces!

Full out hippie is the best! I am so inlove with that style and I am slowly making my closet and style into it. Currently wearing olf clothes till they are unwearable anymore.
Love your eye make up looks great emma ❤
Thank you so much xx
My CZcams screen name, and associated blog pages on social media, are a play on the name of the shop “Granny takes a trip”, so I was happy to see that shop featured in this video.
My name is Journey and I’m a New Age Traveller from Britain. I live in a self-converted house-truck and dress in psychedelic late 60’s and 70’s inspired outfits, so the “takes a trip” part of my name is doubly meaningful in terms of my life on the road, and the LSD inspired clothing I wear and interior design style of my living spaces.
Great video, outfit and montage. Sending peace and love!
Thank you for this video!
I am so obsessed with this video!!!!! Truly great historical context I had never heard before and even more fondly love this style ❤❤❤❤

Thank you , your knowledge is very good , however may I suggest the movie 1969 staring a young Kiefer Sutherland & Winona Ryder . This movie tells of the darker side , albeit , in a softer way . "With death so close , all one can do is laugh" . , take care , Dreamer
Thank you. I’ve seen and enjoyed that movie a couple of years ago. Haven’t thought about it in ages. Thanks for burning back the memory 💌
