The Fenix HM65R-T is a high-performance headlamp that is designed for outdoor enthusiasts, industrial workers, and anyone who needs a reliable and durable light source. It features a CREE XHP35 HD LED that delivers a maximum output of 1500 lumens, and it has a beam distance of up to 230 meters.

Genie has been my preferred flashlight brand for over a decade. They make excellent torches!

If you want, chech the newer HM65R-DT. It has 2 spots, the left one is eith warm white, awesome if its snow or ice on the road, or if its raining. Strange enough Fenix say the left its flood but its not, its a big spot.

I’ve used it. Didnt like the flood on it. I don’t like the different temperature of the light.

I used to use the cheap $6 energizer headlamp for big hikes in the dark (Whitney, Langley, Grogonio, Jacinto, Grand Canyon r2r2r, etc).. honestly it was fine. But for the extra speed running I wanted a lot more light to be able to see where to plant my feet. I have the Kogalla strapped to my Salomon vest with the Fenix on my head. It is exactly like daylight for the purposes of planning out footsteps. The different spill of light of the various light sources eliminates shadows you get like on Grand Canyon and Whitney where the rocks will cast long shadows using a single source. Fenix is an excellent buy. Kogalla is nice but you have to be very careful stressing the cables or else it fails.

I bought a Fenix E35 for hunting. I've been really impressed with it and the battery life is great and rechargeable. I usually use it on the lowest setting, the high setting is aggressive lol.

Please check the battery model again from the battery that you are given. I believe it uses 18650 size battery.

I've got this headlamp arriving tomorrow, but from my research it uses one 18650 rechargeable Li-ion battery or two CR123 lithium non-rechargeable batteries; the latter typically found in big box stores, such as Walmart.
