JJ is probably the only woman he's ever encountered who is not scared of him, intimidated by him, or enamoured of him. She couldn't give a rats rse who or what he is, does earns etc. He's a bully and she's not taking his sh!te.

I have a neighbour who uses chemicals on their lawn. It causes me be breathing issues, but he is doing it on his lawn. I shut the windows and turn on the air purifier. He is not doing anything illegal so what I am I supposed to say to him.... Stop using the perfectly legal liquid on your lawn? I think the pesticides and weed killer should be banned but that is just my opinion. Until the law changes I have to deal with my own breathing issues.
I’m sorry you have to deal with that. But props to you for being a logical and reasonable person.
Im on oxygen and never make a fuss. But just being reasonable goes a long way to being a good neighbor.
It's okay to talk to your neighbor like a normal person and appeal to their compassion and maybe have a few suggestions if they are open to it

the problem arises when you DEMAND something in a harsh tone that ppl dont wanna do anything for you.
There is perhaps a civil way as others have said to discuss it. Maybe find a natural spray or something less strong. You don't have to be completely without a voice, but do it calmly. Unlike those involved in this lawsuit hahaha

@@djfhfhI understand what you're saying, BUT that's the whole point,that it seems that the plaintiffs expects everyone else to respect them and be considered, but they are not considered towards anyone. It goes both ways. You can't be mad at a person for doing exactly what you are doing.

I used to work in the veterinary field ... we always encouraged people to keep their kitties indoors. If you don't, it's your choice, but be aware that there can be consequences, like the injury or death of your pet. We saw it a lot. ☹☹

Seriously have you ever owned a cat. They WANT to go outside and should go outside. I may get hurt when I leave my house and may end up getting something like a virus. I still go outside.
@@sococomfort22s34 my cat has zero desire to go outside. She will peak out but it is too loud and she likes the security of the indoors. All my friends have cats like that except one b/c he used to be an indoor/outdoor cat. Cats that spend their entire lives indoors will be happy indoors.
We would let our cats out like dogs, in the backyard supervised and then called in after some fresh air.

In a previous case about outdoor cats she revealed she used to have several, but then developed allergies. She switched to dogs. 🐕

We’ve always had outdoor cats, but our last one went missing the devastation was awful. Our current cat is indoors and we get to spend so much more time with him! I know it’s hard (almost impossible) to turn an outdoor cat into an indoor cat but I encourage it when possible 😊

as long as the cat is kept entertained, they will be happy indoor :) it's good for wildlife too. Cats are very harmufl to birds, for instance.

Many people with pets and many parents who have toddlers think that they're entitled to do whatever they want so I'm glad that JJ told the plantiffs off about their cats. I have none of each and want none on my property.

Home Defense? I use it all the time. It is what it says, home defense. For use around the house. It doesn't do fleas, amd stink bugs though.. I put it around doorways, under the sink, etc. It works on ants and ladybugs. I have COPD. It's never caused me any problems. It has never harmed my pets either. I make sure it has completely dried before they have access. There are more appropriate products for trees. Like with a professional using them.

Yep I have cat allergies too. I can’t breathe. My eyes swell. I get hives. I would love to have a kitten indoors. I would never let my cat run around and have babies and live in a garage or under a house.

Possums are no threat and certainly not to little Pomeranian dogs. Actually the dogs are a threat to the possums. Possums are shy and retiring creatures who clear the yard of ticks. Unlike raccoons, they do not carry or transmit rabies. Leave them be.
Really?my friend had an aggressive possum who killed 1 neighbors kitten and carried it off then it attacked her puppy,little mutt mix who did not chase it.she watched the possum fly out from a bush and attack puppy,10 lb puppy who was quietly chewing on a toy,would of killed it if my friends mother dog hadn't rushed in and drove it off.pup had deep cuts,stitches and got an infection from bites.i live in western Washington and possums here get huge
@@vidamccurdy9764 Yes, really. Any behavior of this kind from a possum, is *extremely extremely* rare and likely defensive in nature, usually protective of babies in nest.
The defendants are lying to cover their tracks. Possums are not aggressive and primarily active at night so the danger to their little dogs is nil And the fact that the spikes were placed in that one spot , Im disappointed that JJ didn’t call them out on that. I think the defendants sound like terrible neighbors and cruel as well.

I use Malathion often without negative results; it's when applied indoors without ventilation, then it becomes a problem.

As a vet tech, the worst thing you can do is have an outdoor cat. If you loved your pet you’d keep it inside. The plaintiff is wrong.

I've had asthma from birth and had to learn the hard way that, as much as I like cats (and they like me) I can't be around them (as a kid I'd always pet cats, pick them up, etc.) because I'll get sick!
yep. cats definitely make asthma symptoms much worse and cause asthma attacks.
Stores sell many non-biohazard sprays that are safe to use to get rid of Aphids that don't harm domestic animals, birds, butterflies, and ladybugs. We have pets and buy non-biohazard sprays for insects.

If you don't want cats in your home, don't acquire some. Keeping them contained to a garage or letting them roam the streets is dangerous to the cats.

Plaintiff has the attitude that everyone has to work around their lives. If they were nicer and spoke to their neighbor with respect, a nice neighbor would have removed the spikes and find other alternative to treat aphids. People just don't understand kindness is much more powerful than bad behaviors or bullying.

The plaintiffs could build a cat proof fence. That is what I would have done to protect my fur babies.
I've seen some folks build a outdoor pen for the cats for their outside time, like you would for a rabbit. Protects, shelters and stops them roaming.
In that case they should sue the company!!!!

It is absolutely crazy to me that there aren’t leash laws for cats like there are for dogs, especially considering how detrimental they are to the environment. People who let their cats outside unsupervised are so negligent. What are you going to do, sue the owl that ends up killing them?
It depends where you live. I'm in the UK and there are special laws protecting cats and their right to roam.

@@mackenziew5284 outdoor cats are needed for pest control and on farms etc.. It is also important for a cat to be able to do what cats do, express their natural behaviour. Most of my cats have been indoor only but Luna likes to go outside occasionally, so I go with her. She doesn't try to hunt she just likes to bounce around in the grass and smell the different smells. She stays in the immediate area of my back garden and never spends more than around 30 minutes outside. She did run off once as she chased another cat out of the garden but she returned immediately. My best friend lived on a road of very old terraced houses which had basements. As each house became a rental property the landlords put in no pets rules. As soon as the last cat was gone they were overrun with rats, and I mean overrun. They were running across her floors indoors, she even found them in her kitchen appliances and on worktops. They were everywhere. Pest control were called and did their best but their recommendation was... to get cats. They concreted over the holes but a pack of rats can get through concrete in less than a fortnight. Thankfully a legal letter meant she was released from her lease so she could move. Where there are no cats there are high levels of pests, which is why cats have always been worshipped by humans because they protect our food supplies and kill the rodents that spread diseases. Do I want my cat doing that? Not really but it is essential, farmers are never going to give up the barn cats that keep rodents away from the baby animals on the farms and away from the animal feed etc... I guess having grown up in a more rural area I'm more aware of these issues where as town people forget the problems that would occur if every cat was made to stay inside, as a cat can't hunt and kill a rat whilst on a leash - although I think you mean a harness as a leash would be deadly for a cat.

I've rescued 5 cats and 4 kittens from the trailer park I live in since 2020. I don't have them all anymore, but I'd never let them go outside. They all had some kind of parasite when I took them in. They are all completely content indoors now. I could never live with myself if something happened to one of them because they were outside.

The whole case was just stupid. People really sue for anything. I just think they all didn’t like each other, had nothing to do with cats nor any spray repellent. Your cats/dogs should not be on anyone else’s property. Also, I do believe the defendants aren’t so innocent. I think they used that spray maliciously.
Sounds like the female plaintiff has been smoking for a long time rather than being damaged by a chemical spray.

I will admit tho… that home defensive spray is no joke… its effective but its like a silent killer… I spray then run 😂😂😂 but it is only a few minutes after you spray it’s not a continuous smell… but who wants a bug infestation?
My Cat never leaves my yard. The Neighbors Cats always come onto my property, chase my Cat onto the Porch, corner and attack her. I have yet been able to figure out which neighbor they belong to. I keep a Broom on the Porch to swat them.
There’s a lot of opinions both ways about keeping cats inside or letting them out. I believe in keeping them inside… I’ve had cats get sick or injured being out. I’ve also had friends that their cats never made it back home.
Nothing infuriates me more than pet owners who have no respect for their neighbors. If you cant keep control of your animals then dont have them!!!
Is that US law then, that cats are treated the same as dogs? Cats usually roam around an area and there is no way to control their choice of toilet area. Dogs , on the other hand , are usually kept inside , or in an enclosed area from which they cannot escape. Only when walked on a lead are they able to go outside of that, and then they are under their owner's direct control.
People come to court with an attitude and they believe that will be helpful for them. #genius
