The reason it's a touchdown is because the rule for who "wins" a contested catch between the offense and the defense is shitty and doesn't take into account who has better control of the ball. By rule, if a player from each team is "fighting" over a catch, the catch goes to the offense, no matter what. Even though Seattle's WR barely has his hands on it and it's clear the GB defender has it secured in his arms, the ball is, by rule, in possession of the WR. The NFL's rules suck ass.

The genesis for all of those controversial NFL catch/no-catch calls is the Calvin Johnson TD catch against the Bears that was overruled. That single play set the precedent for over a decade to come. The Dez Bryant call happened because of the Calvin Johnson call.

Some context for the altuve clip. This was before a major sign stealing controversy emerged that revealed for the two years prior to that play, the astros had been stealing pitching signs by watching the televised broadcast and banging on trash cans when the pitch was offspeed.
There were rumors that because they hadn’t been caught yet but there were no cans heard in 2019, that they might’ve switched to more covert methods (like a buzzer under altuve’s shirt). This was only fueled by altuve telling his team not to rip off his shirt and dodging the question after the game.

Not just a no hitter but a freaking perfect game!!! If only they had video reviews at that time Smh

This I'm sure is an infuriating way to lose but replays showed he was down by contact short of the goal line. Had this been called correctly by the refs on the initial play then maybe they get up to the line and get a play off or maybe not. But I think that's the part I would have a problem with.
Now, to the naked eye, it's hard to see that that's not a touchdown without replay, so I can't really be mad that they missed it initially. I wish there was a better way to do a common sense application for the 10 second runoff here, that shouldn't have decided the game, but that's what the rule stated and I think the refs hands were tied. Just a really shitty situation.
