  • Walking through how we get four full-thickness frictions and four full-thickness steels into the 4r100 Intermediate pack, in order to sink more heat than the thinner E4OD steels. Also going over how to control the pack clearance, where to get the extra height for the 4th clutch from, and the importance of measuring for engagement.
This is highly advanced, and mostly meant to provoke thought for other builders who have instead resorted to using thinner steels. Because of the inherent manufacturing tolerances of the case and all the other parts that impact this modification, the machine work for this upgrade is always done during assembly.
I have sensored the critical data since the cuts will all depend on the stackups for a particular unit's case and parts. Between the pressure plate, friction embedment, intermediate piston height, and the loosely designed factory pack clearance, there is enough meat on the bone to add a 4th friction and thick steel.
