Electrical issues are critical. My older brother lost his life while working on an older Winnebago mini to use as a hunting retreat. It was quite some years ago. He was 35 years old. Killed him instantly. I don't want to revisit the details. But trust me, especially on older aluminum skinned RVs, ya gotta be vigilant. This was all related to a faulty ground. Have a professional inspection before any purchase. They've already been talking about faulty propane fittings on brand new units. It's no joke. It's your life. Happy New year y'all. Excellent information if you are buying an RV. I have always stated that I would never buy an RV new or used without an Independent Inspection before parting with a penny. Consider it the most valuable accessory you can have. I’d also ask how often this should be repeated. Safety is paramount.

I subscribed to their channel awhile back (when you mentioned it) , they are very detailed oriented. It's really disconcerting when they inspect a new unit and it has more discrepancies than the used one.

All it takes is .008 of an amp to cause an electrical issue where power starts to surge thru a body and looks for a path to ground .

The "hot skin" safety measurement should be taken with an old-school analog meter with a relatively low input impedance (e.g., Simpson 260 - 20K ohms/volt)... This will allow harmless, high-impedance stray charge buildup (e.g,. static) to be discharged through the meter during the voltage measurement... Your sensitive Fluke meter will show stray voltages on most everything... Just sayin' 😎
Just ordered my new rv and plan on having it inspected prior to driving it off the lot. Some people have said it's a waste of money, but I think it's piece of mind. Thanks again Izzy and MJ, great information as always 👍. 🦬👱♀️
