Voltaire talked about this at his show, he said that he really struggles with the guitar parts in this song so he hired a guitarist to accompany him and planned on not playing this live. But because this video blew up now he has to play it live LOL. He puts on such a good show.

To be completely fair, the entire tone of the video changes when you realize that, until she started getting into it, the Duke was just messing around with her, because of the Twilight book. After she showed that she was into it, was the moment the Duke even thought about trying anything funny.

I was at a Voltaire concert last month and he actually made mention of this video contributing to his growth as an artist! He also said your animation style was amazing.

@@secularhazes he also apparently wrote the notes for but didn’t play the guitar for the original studio release. They were too complex for him to play at the time and the studio was charging by the hour so he hired a professional guitarist.
Considering that Darias art has gotten me into Voltaire's music and reminding me that he was a part of Billy and Mandy, one of my childhood shows, I can see why he would make mention of it. Helps that the art still holds up.

I just gotta say I appreciate the ending. Where this whole time she’s scared and confused but then gets a devious plan to actually kill the guy. And then grabs the scepter just as a way to push him into the light and *immediately* gets corrupted by the cursed artifact. That’s good writing! Satisfying twist!
New Headcanon: the scepter doesn’t normally just *take over* like that; but the fact she was holding it while already overcome with fear and hate -AND the broken mental state that comes with killing someone and watching them die- just made her the ideal vessel for its dark powers at the time.
