For that particular glacier hike, we could not do it alone and I see why. We had to take experience guides with us or we could die if we go alone. That Glacier is extremely dangerous with a lot of crevices and massive drop off holes if you don’t know what you’re doing it could be fatal. Thanks for your continued support ❤. Holy cow that was an absolutely awesome adventure we just went on! Thank you so so much for taking us along! That was totally worth the amount you must have spent. Unbelievable experience that was 100% “priceless”! While the guides were extremely experienced it just reminds me as a life lesson…. When the plan doesn’t go as expected, (which is never OUR plan to begin with…. A whole other sermon to preach for another day), you don’t need to panic, you PIVOT. Our son has lived in Anchorage for over 20 years. We have been to visit him many times. My favorite places have been: Denali, Talkeetna, Hatchers Pass, Whittier, Seward, Russian River, and of course Anchorage. He has a CZcams channel: CTMadModz, where he does some Alaskan adventures in his Samurai jeep. Alaska is a must see place to visit. You won’t regret it.
I've been living north of Anchorage, Alaska for almost 4 years and have never been to Hatchers Pass yet. I need to go this summer before the road gets closed for the winter.

Girl where was my bite? LOL My dad was in the Air Force and we lived there when I was little. We did a lot of camping and fishing and made wonderful memories! I remember us having blackout blinds so we could sleep and mom making snow cream. Watching you has brought back so many memories! Most don’t understand that Glaciers move glaciers are nothing more than a river that has been frozen for a very long time but it’s still moving hence the fissures and deep crevices and ravines. Thanks for sharing about the road conditions! It is a hard drive but you did it ❤

What an adventure. Wish I had visited Alaska when I was younger but when I did I was too old to do this hike. Reminded me of the last terrible winter here in the midwest. I bought snow/ice cleats to strap on to walk my dog. LOL

Beautiful hike! Thanks for sharing. Most don’t understand that Glaciers move glaciers are nothing more than a river that has been frozen for a very long time but it’s still moving hence the fissures and deep crevices and ravines. Thanks for sharing about the road conditions! It is a hard drive but you did it ❤
