    Good video, delete blocks free up so much space and work well. Fleece products are great quality.

    I have a fass pump and I just did this fleece filter delete and now I have a hose with a banjo bolt that doesn't go to anything that is leaking fuel. Does it go anywhere or should I plug it off ?

    • @darkirondiesel

      Where is the hose? Which hose is it?

    • @tonynewsomjr.4043

      @@darkirondiesel it's a hose with a banjo bolt that came off of the stock filter. Looks like it goes back to the tank. It's just hanging there after I did the fleece filter delete and sometimes fuel comes out of it

    • @darkirondiesel
      @darkirondiesel  Před 3 lety +2

      The factory fuel line that fed the fuel filter from the fuel tank? I just folded it over to kink it and zip tied it on the frame. It’s still connected to the sending unit on the top of the fuel tank but when I installed the fass I removed the fuel lines in the sending unit that actually brought the fuel up to the top of the sending unit.

  • @snyderkurtis
    @snyderkurtis Před 3 lety +1

    So do you need to delete the housing for any other reason than looks? I got bad injectors so I think I’m gonna do a fass for the filtration to prevent the new set from going

    • @darkirondiesel
      @darkirondiesel  Před 3 lety +2

      Well if you keep your factory fuel filter you still have to change it, so why not just get rid of it ya know? Instead of wasting your money on filters you don’t need

      @tonynewsomjr.4043 Před 3 lety

      Pretty sure you get better fuel flow if u have a fass and fuel filter delete. Unless if you just want a 3 filter system then keep the stock filter but really think the flow is better without it

  • @broskis80
    @broskis80 Před 2 lety

    Also what about that sensor on top of the fuel filter housing side? Some say it is fuel heater... then there is small fuel pump at the other side. So you end up with 2 plugs disconnected? Does that generated any fault codes ? Then again you got rid of in tank lift pump but I understand again pump wiring even not connected not generating fault codes ?

    • @darkirondiesel
      @darkirondiesel  Před 2 lety

      Hey no as far as I know it won’t generate any fault codes

  • @MultiAndres66

    Hey bud, did you have a "stretch" issue with the WIF sensor wire harness? I installed mine & the wires don't wanna reach, it'll plug in, but there's way too much tension/strain on the wires for my liking so I unplugged it.
    05 Ram 2500, & no, no codes popped up for not having the OE WIF sensor & fuel heater plugged in.

  • @ssceverythingcummins2985

    just did the fass and the fleece filter delete now i got a damn no start did you have to crack any injector lines i opened three the easy ones to get to but just me in the shop so i could only crank then go close them its a damn bugger !did yours just fire right up i figured this would happen so i was surprised yours just fired right up

    • @darkirondiesel
      @darkirondiesel  Před 3 lety

      If you crack injector lines and crank until there’s fuel there, then tighten them up it should fire up no problem. Did you figure it out? Maybe you have the feed and return line mixed up on the fass

    Lift pump is a filter and aids the fuel pump. It is not a fuel pump replacement. Am I right?

    • @darkirondiesel
      @darkirondiesel  Před 3 lety +1

      No you are wrong. A FASS or Airdog fuel pump replaces the factory fuel pump. Duramax engines don’t even have a lift pump from factory.
