Yet it's almost worthless for anything below a Quest 3 as sometimes it makes things actually worse rather than better.
I mean, whose "brilliant" idea was it to create an "OFFICIAL" (official, my ass...) HD profile for Richie's Plank Experience by setting the Hz to 72 and the resolution to 180% when you can barely hold a relatively stable 72Hz at a resolution of 150% at most on a Quest 2...? And this is just one example. I'm not even going to mention the moronic profiles for Angry Birds and Mission: ISS (among many others) which also have their resolutions set between 170% and 210% with which the games obviously can't even maintain 68Hz, the lowest framerate accessible to tweak... And why, of all games, would you limit Pistol Whip's so-called "official" HD profile (again, one of many) to just 100% resolution and 72Hz when I personally benchmarked 5 in-game levels with 80Hz and 120% resolution and had no issues whatsoever? It's only at 125% that the game slowly starts losing frames (yes, I benchmark using increments of 5 and 10)... So I don't know who's making these profiles but either I'm crazy or the majority who downloaded this on anything lower than a Quest 3 and are praising it don't even know what framerates/benchmarking/annoying flickering/texture resolution/ffr/etc. are... I mean the CPU and GPU levels are 90% the same for almost all profiles, the FFR is all over the place and mostly just set completely wrong for a specific game and I could go on...
It's just basically a slightly improved yet glorified and paid version of "SideQuest" where the so-called profiles are nothing more than simple 10-minute benchmarks at best that were, are and will continue to be thrown in there to somehow try and explain the price tag.
The ONLY thing that it's actually good at is letting you choose and tweak your own settings but then why did people who own anything below a Quest 3 pay for the product which supposedly has "verified and stable profiles even for owners of Quest 1/2"? So that they can spend hours upon hours benchmarking their games instead of playing and enjoying them as soon as possible? Does that not defeat the point of the application and both contradict its price and the fact that it's paid to begin with?

Just watched the vid, read the sceptical comments, but bought it regardless. This is totally Worth the money, no doubt. The home environment looks like 10x better. I only tested some games so far but it is a tremendous improvement.
Idk about the battery life, I guess it drains faster, depending on the game, but if you have a headset with a battery pack or you plug in the headset while gaming, then it’s not an issue.
Framerate is great, sharpness is increased, resulting in a much better gaming experience. Give it a try!

You, or the developer, should do a side-by-side comparison with perhaps a half dozen of the most popular Quest games, maybe with a power consumption comparison too. It's relatively easy content to create, would quell worries about overheating and power consumption, and would make a really good selling point.

QGO provides a new app launcher within your Quest home. From there, you can simply launch your games with tried and tested profiles, for example, to boost visuals or to save power, or you can edit the profiles yourself and experiment. There is an in game performance overlay which you can toggle on or off to see which parameters are working or not.
I primarily bought QGO to switch off Fixed Foveated Rendering (which really bugs me) but there is still plenty of headroom to boost graphics on top of that, especially on games designed to run on Quest 1 and Quest 2. Some games are very conservatively optimised, so you can really boost them.

    Frame rate looks terrible

On recording yes. You can choose any frame rate you want to and adjust settings to make it always stable. However profiles in the QGO are doing this already.
