    You boys over in Ireland have it so good! Guinness as they say does not travel, here in Scotland I've never had a pint of Guinness that was as good as I had in Ireland. I couldn't believe how good the pints were in Ireland it was absolutely unbelievable. I can't drink it over here anymore.. Im gonna re-trace your steps of the best pints on this channel. You should create a pub crawl map

    10 year vet of hospo. what makes a good pint of the black stuff depends on a number of things. as said in the vid yes the draw length can be important and the cleanliness of the line also sitting to long out side the keg and outside the insulation of the 'python' - [large black insulation cover for the individual lines from the keg room] can mess with the texture. the other factors 'the stick' as he calls it comes from how well the glass has been cleaned. creamy head just comes from keeping the pourer at the tap regularly cleaned. Probably the most important thing is that your kegs are given time to cool in the keg room before tapping up to the line, we call it rotating your kegs. bubbles on top can happen on a busy knight, shouldn't be taken as a bad pint of the stuff, just not as astatically appealing

    • @joegrande4848
      @joegrande4848 Před 6 měsíci +1

      Don't forget a proper air mixture nitrogen 75% CO2 25%. Yes, proper temperature, 39 degrees, and clean lines. Making sure no leaks in lines. Letting keg settle for 72 hours before setting up. 😊❤

    Just been to Dublin today, last time I came was about 4 years ago and I didn’t like Guinness back then. My taste buds have now changed over the years and I love it. So I came for the day today from Sheffield and went to a few of the high recommended pubs and also some not on on here and some unbelievable pints.

On the second visit I had four pints all were of top quality and had very good shtick or lacing as I prefer to call it.
