How did you dry the car without letting the sun dry it? What did you do for the body shine? I have a black truck and I had no other choice to wash it in direct sun it made the drying hard because it would dry in seconds thanks!
I’d suggest to try using 3D Final Touch, I use that product on most cars for touch ups after the wash has been done. Now if your vehicle is ceramic coated I’d check out p&s defender.
Also check out using a detailing blade, I use it when the vehicle is soaked with water, go in with the blade then go in with my towel ! Saves a lot of time when in direct sunlight.

DI water also makes the washing process super easy. After a contact wash , I let the sun dry the car to a spot free finish
