    I just bought a 2011 Toyota Sienna with 289k miles on it. It’s super clean and I hope I can make it to 500k miles 🙏🙏🙏🥰

    hey nice review, man!
    Does anyone know, how much leather interior renovation like this costs? for mini vans for example.
    it looks fantastic!

      Depends what has to be done usually. Leather reupholstery can be several thousand dollars to replace material in all the seats, but most of the time spot fixes can be done for much less

    • @MyWatchIsEnded
      @MyWatchIsEnded Před rokem

      I used to be an apprentice interior upholstery technician for cars and I can definitely quote you at $1500-2000 for all of the seats since the leather itself has to be sourced either from Toyota or a reputable OEM replacement for a relatively large fee but what's your mainly paying for is the skill and labor of reupholstering the seat and then reinstalling them.
      Typically to, 'unskin', one of the seats takes about 30 minutes to an hour and to break down the skin takes another 20 minutes if you're replacing a panel or two. If you are creating a whole new skin from the leather sheet then you have to custom create the mold and the fitment of each skin which requires skill and time. After all that is said and done if the leather didn't come pre-textured the upholsterer has to texturize the seat using special tools to permanently engrave the leather.
      If you're talking about simple repairs like one side of the seat being torn that's called a panel repair and that's a lot cheaper. If there are holes in the seat or leather parts that can be fixed using compound and retexturized then painted.
      Repairs per seat are somewhere around $20 to $100 depending on severity or replacements for panels.
