- Today in France the Little Entente shall be strengthed and brought up to standard, France will take the lead in taking action against Germany and will form a continent wide coalition to ensure when the time comes, German aggression will be dealt with swiftly.
Along the way we will be going for the achievement Big Entente, This will result in us going to war with Germany. However they will be in for a shock as the French military will be up to a standard they could've never expected.

It's weird just how long it's taken me to do to this one, Big Entente has been around for years and isn't the hardest of achievements to complete, so it's good to do and satisfying to have done. France is a funny nation to play, since they're weakest starting major, so every run you have to make them strong yourself, and it always feels good to pull of a nice run with them.

The 1st time I did this was definitely an interesting game because everything folded as intended. Italy and Britain joined the Front and the Anschullus was refused. I can't wait until Italy can get to do this in their new focus tree.
I’d wait with the Stresa Front until By Blood Alone is released since it will be more interesting

I like how Germany had more land after the war even tho they lost.
Post war Germany not only got Austria but South Tyrol as well.
You should really click shift when putting a field marshal frontline, it assigns all divisions in one frontline instead of dividing it per each general. Some people showed it worked better because of the way it shuffles troops around. It's also a lot cleaner.

True, but with the normal division you can assign different battleplans to each general.

I was seriously just thinking about a HOI4 run I hadn’t done yet and then I saw this video. Time to give it a try.
I did this and at some point I was making breakthrough after breakthrough then the Reich just fell into civil war out of nowhere.
Just did this one, and then the survive to 1948 one on the same run. Ussr declared halfway through the war bc poland never died, but a little entente france that does air and arty (with a small amount of motorized/light tanks) can fuck up a 1940 ussr. Then i sat on my ass til 44 when the allies (at this point including a puppeted japan and america) declared war on one of my guaruntees, where I spent the next four years making god tanks for fun and making all my 100+ inf templates 30-width space marines doing 9-3’s with one heavy tank spg batt with such cracked stats that it alone brought the entire divisions armor up to 100. Yeah, they cost like 40 ic each, but that doesn’t matter when you have all of Europe as an industrial base, with France’s insane resource deposits to boot. Add onto that a bunch of god cas and three stolen navies, and you get four years of slowly grinding down the allies out of africa while doing a wierd atlantic island hopping campaign after capping uk to ensure no naval invasions. Like, is it as bad as the pacific, or even just the indian ocean? God no, it’s a vacation comparatively, but it’s still one more plate to spin when the omnipresent ai is going for every inch of space you don’t immediately defend
Little entent France is always fun! I beat Germany and Italy my own way- i went through the westwall and into their cores with a focus on 9/1's and a healthy amount of Cas. Blew right through their forts, and my production was good since i focused on getting rid of the factory debuffs first, THEN forming the little entente.
This achievement is truly random in terms of difficulty. In my successful run, both Italy and Hungary didn’t join the Axis, Germany made no headway on any front and even lost territory to Czechoslovakia, and when I finally pushed out from the Maginot Germany’s civil war event fired.
France is my favourite 1936 Major since if you focus down the right things on your Focus Tree you're basically untouchable regardless of being on Historical AI or not. Even the US or USSR can sometimes get screwed by Japan or Britain going the wrong kind of ahistorical too fast.

I mean…probably.
I used the Spanish Civil War exploit for this. Got the first 10% of war support by sending attache to China for that. Don't forget to improve relations with Italy as well. This serves 2 purposes: get free lend lease weapons from Italy and weakening Italy in the mean time, don't forget asking for trucks and light tanks. Also I always release Tunisia and Algeria as it makes the Italian AI more stupid and you can annex Algeria via focus later plus I do not want to put troops in North Africa.
it is now impossible with the new peace deals since someone will always change government of germany and it will be democratic but independent, and it is unavoidable because you can't have enough points to annex all of germany or puppet it all. unless there are ways to capitulate the axis with France and the Czechs alone it is impossible
the best i could do in 5 attempts was 59% contribution, still couldn't take brandenburg and hannover from independent Germany, even if you completely give up Italy to the other allies :(

thank you so much, for the first time i defeated germany (with only czechoslovakia, britain and poland), then o destroyed Hungary, Italy, and soviet union and japan will be done soon too
Hey Bubbles - loving the videos. Very informative. Hows this for a video idea - playing as Latvia you can flip to fascist to get through the first few focuses in the fascist branch (Thunder Roars Alone) but then immediately flip to democratic (Renew Kviesis' Term - or just sneak in Lightning Strikes beforehand to unify the baltics). Focuses like Diev's Keepers and State Paganism only requires you have the national spirit Dievturība, NOT fascists in power. So you can be democratic with all the Dievturība buffs to fight the Soviets.
Its not particularly powerful or anything, its just an interesting "loophole" in the focus tree.
Or, you know, whats the point of the legit Yugo fascist path? The civil war between Paul and Michael is pretty savage.

Doesn't Austria count as German cores? The achievement didn't fire for me when I had a German supervised state controlling everything except Austria... I did do it in the new patch and demilitarised the Rhineland at the same time for a seperate achievement so maybe that made it not count as owning the state?

I would always make the entente and then lose because I’d help out spain and win them the civil war and then get killed by the French Revolution

Massive waste on that industry bonus. You usually use it to get all 1939 main industry techs way before the war starts. And I have no idea why you don't prioritize getting machine tools, its probably the most important one of the three.
That's how you'd want to use it, which is fair enough. But don't mistake it as the way I have to use them.
I usually use them to get all concentrated industry by 1940 at the latest.
@@azh698 concentrated industry is inferior to dispersed in basically all aspects. This isn't hearsay, the math has been worked out and the efficiency retention is way too good compared to the meager production bonus of concentrated. ( check 71 cloak)
