Hello, So, there are many options for access to supermarkets. The main chains in Ireland are Tesco, Dunnes, LIDL and Centra. LIDL is the most budget friendly and there is one that is about 10 minutes away from university campus. There is a Centra on campus though it does not have all the groceries and would mostly be useful for quick convenience shopping. On the subject of accommodation, I would encourage you to go online and see more information since I may not provide the full depth of the story. Ireland is currently experiencing a housing crisis with fewer houses for the rising number of people. This means that the few available options are expensive and without all the favourable amenities like space. It is ABSOLUTELY important, I will say it again, it is ABSOLUTELY important that you sort out accommodation before you travel. There is on-campus accommodation which you want to reserve as quickly as possible. So if you have an offer, do reach out to the estate mgt team (their contact details can be found on the university website) and inquire about accommodation.
