andhra cuisine, bheema’s, bengaluru, non vegetarian meal, lunch, fish fry, chilli chicken, mutton pepper fry, guntur chicken, mutton seeraga samba biryani, chicken biryani, nellore biryani, popular bengaluru lunch spot
After many a vegetarian reviews over the last few weeks, I was craving the comfort of some hearty non vegetarian fare. And so we landed at Bheema’s to savour a spicy Andhra bhojanam of fish fry, chilli chicken, mutton pepper fry, Guntur chicken, and a couple of biryanis, their staple Nellore version in addition to their ode to Bengaluru’s dhonne style biryani! And needless to say, we also took a quick look behind the scenes to see how this popular restaurant is gearing up to serve customers in these challenging times. Enjoy and stay safe.
Fish Fry
A tasty fry, though not the sort that will blow your socks off! It’s a thin slice of fish, napped in a sprightly masala and fried crisp around the edges.
Rs. 370 (usd 4.9)
7/10
Chilli Chicken
No Andhra non-vegetarian meal can be complete without a chilli chicken, rich in copious amounts of green chilli and pepper. The spice hit is tongue-numbing, but one that’s vicariously addictive. The chicken is nice and juicy all the way down to the bone.
Rs. 270 (usd 3.6)
8/10
Mutton Pepper Fry
The mutton is soft and yields to a gentle bite, draped in a pepper-onion masala. The meat is sheathed in some fat, which lends it its fulsome flavour. At Bheema’s they pick their meat cuts well and certainly know how to cook it well too.
Rs. 350 (usd 4.6)
9/10
Guntur Chicken
A chicken preparation that heroes the Guntur chilli. The creaminess of the coconut though and the acidity of tomatoes in this dish balances against the heat of this otherwise spicy Andhra chilli.
Rs. 305 (usd 4)
8/10
Mutton Jeera Rice Biryani
Bheema’s ode to the local Bengaluru biryani, this one is made with the short-grained seeraga samba rice. You can taste the fervour of coriander, mint and green chillies alongside other ingredients like the marat moggu, cloves that are typically used in this one-pot rice and meat preparation. The meat slides off the bone, it is cooked as well as that!
Rs. 295 (usd 3.9)
8/10
Chicken Biryani
Bheema’s most popular dish, this traditional Nellore-style biryani is made with basmati rice. There’s flecks of pineapple that go into this biryani and you taste its acidity juxtaposed against the aromatic flavours of cloves, cinnamon and other warming spices that the chicken and rice are cooked in. The meat is soft and juicy, however it is the delicate spicing of the biryani that makes an impression on the palate and lingers long after one has finished eating.
Rs. 260 (usd 3.4)

This man often proves that savouring the dishes can be done without messing up the plate...I usually appreciate the way he holds his fingers that no morsels fall below. Frankly speaking,I wanna learn table manners from him:)
They say extra spices in andhra curries can help fighting CORONA...Nice explanation !!!
Where ever you go ... Telugu Food is the best cuisine 😍👌 Hands down 🙏
Not just his English .. His Hindi is equally good.. Since he is kannadiga.. And spk Tamil too.. Olden days.. Most of the Kannadiga knew.. Kannada.. Tamil and Telugu..
Language is FOR more communication, more mingling, more inclusivity, more interaction better exchange of ideas n concepts and NOT for exhibiting exclusivity, not for maintaining distance ,not for showing snobbishness ,not for showing supposed superiority ,not for xenophobia, not for suppressing others
Of all Indians Kannadigas have got it right not only now and recently but also over the centuries
Other groups need to pick up from where the Kannadigas have began
@@dcmhsotaeh Completely agree! However recently politicians have been trying to use language for their political gains. We Bengalureans must not fall prey to their dirty tactics.
He is kannadiga then y he is making Andhra hotel foods
And marathi also
@@satyamraj6881 too much bro.. have you never eaten any cuisine other than your's?
You are the best Indian food reviewer Kripal. With huge amount of knowledge and afcourse great English. You deserve more subscribers..
Thank you, Sudarshan, we value the subscribers we have at present, and am sure subscribers like you will help spread the word on Food Lovers TV to reach a larger audience.

I'm sweating at the back of my head!!
This statement gives me feel that... Okay this food is great to taste ❤
That is the taste of Andhra meal where ever you take a bit..
Impressed by Bheema’s level of sanitary practices from cooking to serving. This level should be the standard for all eat-in restaurants. I haven’t this level of sanitary practices in US.
Food looks absolutely delicious!
Gunpowder, ghee and rice is a match made in heaven. Can't wait to try out Andhra meals once the situation normalizes. :). Wonderful video as always!
Another secret of green chili: the less fried, the more heat it retains.
Sir please make a video of your fat to fit journey !!!
Hit like if u too want !!
Wow
The day i see ur vedios i am not able to sleep.. those dishes keep coming in my memory back.. and hard to forget ..and uffff ur devine commentary keeps ringing in my ears

Wherever you go our Andhra food is famous
The best thing about Banglore is it introduced me lot of Indian Cuisines. Andhra food is another level. Loved Nagarjuna and Meghana alot. And few Rajastani, Persian cuisines And the worst thing is Ambur Biriyani.I don't know how people call that a Biriyani 😅🤷🏻♂️
You're nicely speaking our Telugu. Thank you.
Sir, your narration is great. You explain the dishes and their taste in a calm soothing way, which makes us love the food even more.
As a concerned subscriber, believe the remaining food after your review is not wasted.
Looks very tempting, indeed. I remember having the green chilly chicken. You have correctly indicated that even though its an assault on spices...it makes you crave for more with every bite. Loved the video ! Thank you !

I remember coming to Bheema's with my father as a child and eating biryani & chilli chicken, followed by a walk to Sweet Chariot for dessert. Last year I took my husband there to share that childhood experience at one of my favourite restaurants. Today I'm watching this video in Europe, and this honestly feels like some new way of torturing myself!!
Will definitely visit this restaurant when I visit Bangalore next
happy eating, Nishant, for when you do visit Bengaluru.

Hi sir, if u really want to explore the original and authentic taste of the andhra food u should visit coastal andhra especially Kakinada / Rajahmundry / Vijayawada...and the most of the foods that u taste at the Andhra restaurant are originated from there and they got some modifications at differeent hotels..but the richness of these foods are still there..have a nice day..
Yes, Prasad, I hope to some day. I want to explore Andhra cuisine at its source.
@@FoodLoversTV I'm sure that u will never forget those foods and the respect and care u recive there and its a unexplored and most underrated paradise.and again one thing there are huge variety of foods that a life time isn't enough to taste them so please make a perfect listing with help of local food youtubers..

Hello Kripal Sir, I am big fan of your Appetizing Vlogs... :) Your Gastronomical Food Tours are too good to watch and off-course the way you explain each dishes sync's within. especially when watching you eat delightfully, can feel the hunger pangs ringing the bells inside the tummy. :) wish to meet you someday in south Bengaluru Jayanagar....
You can try Hotel Navayuga Gandhinagar
Looking all yummy! And nice review, Meanwhile i am looking for a chicken in green chilli typically served in Nandini Mini meals(Andhra style) , And I understand this is Rayalseema style preparation. Can you throw some light on it. I used to travel a lot back when I used to live/ work in Bangalore, I used her the same style chicken in Shimoga, Hassan, Davengere and Tumkur. Used to love that preparation slightly towards bolied, pls see if you can cover that.
Done.. no more lockdown. I am going to this place coming week
