Hi friends! Today I'm building a DIY SLIDING DOOR that is going to cover the closet opening that currently doesn't have a door. I wanted to make this door custom and extra tall to add a sophisticated look to the space. I didn't want this diy door to be too rustic, but instead wanted this sliding door to be modern and sleek. I decided on paneling because I loved the look, and you'll see that it comes together SO perfectly! I'm obsessed and in love, and I'm so proud of this diy creation!

I use to own a condominium that was built in the 1980's that didn't have closet doors either- I wonder if it was some architectural style then? I wish I had known how to do this then! I am always impressed with how you explain everything so easily and impressed you can do projects wearing the cutest dresses too! @@DIYDalia Dalia.....!!!!! I found an answer to that amber bottle for your bathroom. Remember when you had that bottle and you wanted to cut off the top section and use it in your bathroom. I took down ugly mirrored doors hoping to use the frame & just covering the mirror part with wood planks. That became a tedious undertaking & I broke the mirrors. THIS is a much better idea. Thanks!!

When I read the description I and seen the door I thought you're just going to hang a barn door that you purchased but to build it blew my mind you're so talented so creative you give me inspiration and I'm sure thousands of other women too as for the color I would give it a pop of color the smallest color in your room pull it out put it on the door it'll pop that other color immediately great job beautiful door I wish you lived next door to me ❤️💜

I like the white aesthetically but I think functionally without a handle that white is going to get dirty with sliding it back and forth. I think a colour would be so fun

Always late. Saw bits on IG. I was intrigued. This is such a nice piece. Liked that you used the smaller pieces of MDF instead of plywood. It's beautiful. White is clean & fresh. That's a plus. You have a bed pillow with a strip of terra cotta. That could be a big change next fall? Brilliant work. 👌🏼

It looks so good! Well done :) I think it could be cool to match it with the ceiling beams, and I’m wondering if that’s the plan you had in mind. I know you made those beams too so you could definitely pull it off. Or make it kind of a brighter color like henna red/brown might look good too.

I am planning to put the door I already have used as a normal door, but use them for the slide door. Do you think that will work out?
I took the door off of my closet! Was a swing door and took up too much room. Not enough room for a barn door on the side wall. Just decorated my closet to make it aesthetic to look at.
You can turn bi-fold doors into French doors with a hinge called non-mortise hinges. They take up less space and aren't annoying like bi-fold doors.
