    --------
In this clip, Lil Flip spoke about signing a distribution deal with Columbia Records during a bidding war with other labels like Def Jam and Jive, and he explained that Columbia's $22 million offer was the highest. He then spoke about "Undaground Legend" going platinum and going on to do features with Beyoncé, Ludacris, and Three 6 Mafia, making 2003 one of the biggest years of his career.

I remember when Flip got this deal. I went to his house to do a interview and him and Hump showed me the paperwork. It also included 3 tour buses and everything. It was a top notch deal! It was kinda surreal because I had done an interview with him prior and he was very grounded and humble. When he got the deal I knew he deserved it. I was very happy for the brother.

I actually came across a lot of successful hiphop artist when asked about who they grew up on its was a variety of styles from hiphop and outside totally differently than the music they put out or their fans only had a preference to. I heard willie d from ghetto boys talking about legendary underground hiphop artist and mainstream that was totally different from the type of music he put out or his fans did, and this is probably the case with most successful artist. A artist who really surprised who i dont even listen to but i can acknowledge has some skills is kevin gates. That dude knows a lot about music in hiphop and other music and can recite the lyrics.

Its good flip is talking to this young kat whos interviewing him about how he does business, because you know vlad is getting most of the proceeds because its on his channel, and maybe even some of his questions were picked from vlad. But i guess either way its a stepping stone in his career. Its also a smart business move for vlad because he doesnt have to worry about flying his guest in or going to them, so it gives him more time to relax or focus on other endeavors.

      I think he got complacent.
      Its like ja vs 50.
Ja and irv didn't think the fans would take sides like a wrestling match. Ja and irv was like ric flair and jj dillion and 50 was a young sting ready to take the crown.
