It is difficult to describe just how complex a walk cycle is. It seems so simple to most people. Big respect to the person who built and programmed this.
But make robot walk straight in the flat surface is the easiest part on robot movement design, I didn't said it easy but in robotics world its the easiest part
So if thats 7 years old how much ferther ahead are robots now . Its like the stealth bomber , people thought when it was finallly reveled it was new tech but its was old , government's hide shit from us for dacades and we think its new . Sad really that in order to advance we need to lie to the public ....
Just so you know in robotics, when the legs are straight and they want to calculate the velocity of the leg to solve certain equations in matrix form, it diverges and cannot be computed because the jacobian matrix has no inverse. Simply put, the calculations don't check out when the legs are straight. This robot actually has bent knees also but because of the clever way it's constructed, it looks straight.
@@BenjaminChay i have no idea what a jacobian matrix is but that sounds like bs. lol i'm a big tech guy but i haven't dove into humanoid robots yet so i dont know all the language. i do programming, cad, cam, and some PCB design. thinking of getting into rovers and arm robots.
@@darkshadowsx5949 yah idk, you can go from a required x,y position of the foot to the required servo angles using basic trig. only thing is a straightened leg can't extend any farther. people don't actually walk with their knees locked, we bend it in order to lift and swing the foot. but many bots use heavily bent dog-leg designs that look like they require a lot of holding torque and aren't very humanoid.

+THUNDERBOLT those expensive robots takes into account various obstacles and varying surfaces.. flat surfaces is easy and has been done easily years ago.. but OPs robot sure mimics the way a normal human walks flawlessly..
damn... why am i only finding this now?! that is an awesome amount of work done on the servo controls for that kind a fluid movement. I can only ask, have you worked on adding any kind of potentiometers for dealing with keeping upright or obstruction adjustment?

I'm constantly amazed by how far robotics has come in my 44 years on this planet. The rate at which science fiction is becoming science fact is truly staggering.
Finally, a homemade biped robot that doesn't move at snail's pace!!! It's showing (to me atleast) of how not only must you be good at robotics to create something of that caliber, but that you also have to know what you're doing animation-wise too for the animatronics! Animation, yet understanding the balance and shifting of weight too so that it doesn't topple over with that too

これを作った人は天才だ。微妙な左右のバランスをとりながら歩くから人間の様にあるけるんやね。
ASIMOみたいな中腰でなく、SINウォークでここまでスムーズに歩けるんだね。
腰の部分が人の骨盤のように左右に傾く様に出来れば、体の軸を左右に振らなくても、よりスムーズに歩ける様になりますよね。
