This is game changing well worth the subscription, the activation tests make it worth it. you could use the compression test to prime the oil circuit as well, just so many uses, and make diag soo much easier
Yupp!!!
Just got in my Autel mx808. First bi-directional I have owned. Still dont know what half the stuff it can do is. I got a lot to learn lol. It's overkill for my needs. I can do just fine with this one you reviewed. A lot of the new scan tool only work ok for vehicles 2004 and newer. I tend to work on some older ones and even ODB1 cars.
Perfect video!! How about a video about programming??
Every car is different and has different features. Some don't have any features at all but I showed a little bit in this video where I changed the unlock feature and the sunroof
I wonder if this could unlock the first "L" gear in the "M" mode on an Auto IS300.
AMAZING ! change vin of a used ecu !? hopefully that's what i have on Kingbolen ediag obd 2 scanner . I heard it's the same tool as your thinkdiag tool you got ! . have A 2006 BMW 550i automatic with a crank no start situation
Is there a maintenance mode for rear parking brakes deactivation for a brake change ?
Does it show what shift solonoids are doing when I'm in park or neutral or reverse or drive, ect.
Can it adjust/calibrate vehicle height on air suspension on 2007 Range Rover L322?
FRICK YEAA BROOOOOOO
hahaha
I will get mine
youll love it
But will it work well with Hidden BMW Features, like coding and trunk open and close with just a botton
hi PMM, if would not subscribe on a yearly basis, is the software not going to work? or no updates will be done? please advice. thanks.
i believe the software stops if you dont continue the yearly subscription
I’m looking at purchasing this but I need a scan tool that can learn a brake pedal position sensor but can’t find this info? Do you know if it has this function for a piece of junk Gm vehicle?
I honestly do not know there are a lot of different features for different vehicles
Please I want to know the old and new version which one is best to buy
The one I linked to in the description is what I used in the video and it's fantastic
your are able to program a pcm
I bought that same scan tool and I have a 2001 Mercedes S430 and when I try to download the Mercedes software it doesn't work what am I doing wrong
no idea, all my software downloads just fine
Hi Patrick,
As I'm also interested in the W220 generation of S-class, did you manage to get the ThinkDiag to work with your S430? I'm considering to get the same scan tool.
The Mercedes software is extremely big. Do you have enough memory on your phone or tablet? It won't download if you're short on memory. And download the software with wifi if you can. But I have all the makes downloaded and altogether it takes 11 gigs. So I use an android tablet with a wifi hotspot
Can this OBD scanner program Peugeot key
Peugeot is in the list of makes. Go to their website to search if your car is supported
This is very interesting….wonder if it would work on Mercedes and BMW’s with all their ridiculous modules
I used it last night on a mini Cooper which is BMW and it was powerful in that vehicle also
I've used mine to force a dpf regen on a Mercedes gl 350. And I've used it on countless other foreign or German luxury. But it does take longer to download the software with more modules but I paid 200 bucks total to use for business. That's much cheaper than any other scanner that does as much as this one
I would get it but the monthly bill is the deal breaker for me I bought my scangauge2 and I’m very happy with it because it’s a code reader and eraser and performance gauge, and I prefer the vehicles that are built more simple because some things don’t have to be over thought
It's a yearly subscription not monthly but I know what you mean about simpler cars
@@PoorManMods can you compare with xtool anyscan a30m? It has free updates even tho $80 not bad yearly
I feel the same way about yearly or monthly or any continual fees. If I knew you had to pay for the software I would not have bought it, I have not even been able to use it so I'm either going to resell it or save it and see if I can use it to help a friend, if it works on their car. I had a scan tool years ago and I plugged it into the obd2 port and it gave me the codes if any and the definition of the codes I didn't have to download and Bluetooth and all that crap and I didn't have to pay extra for anything, I plugged it in and it scanned and showed any codes that came up. That's all I want these new ones are a bunch of crap to me I've used 3 different ones and I've had trouble with all 3 it took longer to get the thing working then it took for me to fix the car, I'm exaggerating but you know what I mean. I feel like I'm being scammed by these companies.
Most scan tools have software subscriptions. It's my primary scanner for my business since it does all of those things I need. I get the software for all the functions and makes and I can even program keys. 80 bucks a year is nothing. Only thing is to have alot of phone memory or a dedicated device if you buy it for working and download it all it takes up a good chunk of storage
Can it program Fords? I know ForScan runs on them but you need a license and they're based in Russia, so who knows what's going on right now with recent events
I was not able to customize anything on the 2003 F150 i used it on, but there were some setting i could change on the 2018 Ranger i tried it on.
@@PoorManMods dang. My Escape is a 2012. I want to disable the headlights as DRLs and use my VLEDs switchback signals as the DRLs instead.
@@RazoE Yeah, I can't confirm whether you can or can't do that, but regardless anyone with a vehicle should buy this device, it can save them a lot of time and money
What's the car model&year number?
@@kingbolen_official 2012 Ford Escape
does it read trans temp?
If you have a trans temperature sensor yes
If you dig around in the menu, there is a $40 subscription for one vehicle, rather than paying $70 for all. If you have a Sprinter, look for the Sprinter module/plugin, not Mercedes-Benz.
How about showing key reprogramming ?
Goodluck !
I have not tried that feature yet
I have. It tells you how many keys are currently programmed and allows you to erase that. As long as you have the key cut correctly it'll program keys and fobs
I hate the fact that you have to turn on your phone location in order for it to work
You can't do a cylinder compression test with a scan tool of any kind.
It kills fuel and spark so you can crank the engine without it firing, so you can then put a compression gauge on it...
Poor product support 😢
It doesn’t work on Mercedes 300e all it says is no system identifiable on any function
Really? 😮
It works on many other Mercedes. You might be doing something wrong
Does it show what shift solonoids are doing when I'm in park or neutral or reverse or drive, ect.
Yes
