Came up here with my Dad and my brother in July 2019 in my dad's 1994 (I think) Mitsubishi Delica and had no issues except the really big mud pit at 17:00. Really cool vans from Japan and an awesome trail and bonding experience.
I did this with some of the guys from the rva toyota truck group. I took my 01 xj on 31s and didn't have a problem. We camped the night up on the mountain towards the end. Cant wait to go back it was a blast!
Trust me, that alternate is NO JOKE. I ran it last year in a basically stock JKU Sport. Idk which was worse, the alternate or the mud holes, if that puts it into perspective.
Very enjoyable video, great commentary. I have watched all your Jeep videos and have enjoyed them all. Question, what was the drive time for this trail? Thank you.
@@Subie_OffXroad nope, I’m not hard core off roader, I’m more of an over lander so I’m not out trying to tackle the hardest trails, but enjoying Gods creation where 99% of people will never go

I’m headed up there from RVA this weekend in my FJ80. Any advice on the best campsites? Thanks.

I've run it a couple times. It's a most of the day trail.
Thank you
How do you get in with a group? Do you have to have a Jeep? Any cost to use the trail?
It’s actually called Hampton Roads Jeep Family and you can find them on Facebook
if you had turned right at 11:02 that trail is rough expert level only on the way down pinstriped my truck so bad it's really just rock crawling
Do you detach your sway bars?
No
