In Spain Melrose Place, Beverly Hills,Saved by the bell were very famous.Now there are too many series in Netflix or HBO but it's not the same.

It's amazing how the show changed over the years. If you go back and watch season 1, it's like an alternate universe! (Especially the Michael Mancini character! What a transformation! Season 1 Michael was a loving and faithful husband as well as a good friend. Eventually he turned into a cheating, lying, manipulative scumbag! Simply incredible!)
Michael Mancini is the only faithful character thru the series. Faithful as of being from the beginning til every episode til the end.

Awesome! What a cast . Doug Savant and Marcia Cross were later both in DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES but I dont think they had any scenes together here! I chuckled though thinking how more than half of these characters never met each other.
Kimberley and Matt had several scenes in seasons 2-3-4: he helped Michael fake his blood results after his car accident involving Kimberley, Matt also was in charge of the psychological evaluation of the doctors at the hospital and Kimberley tried to talk him into not having her tested and then hired thugs to physically assault Matt, passing it as gay bashing. Matt made a snarky comment about Kimberley’s wig being crooked. Then they vaguely buried the hatchet… well in Meleose Place, people could easily forgive others for trying to kill them…

@@maestroclassico5801 yes, at the end of season 5 when the contracts of the main cast came to an end, several original actors left: Jake, Alison, Jane. Then Billy, Sydney, Matt… eventually only Michael stayed the entire series.

I watch MelrosePlace every day it was so devistating to me when the shoe eded and we never got to see Billy and Alison reunite

To be in the intro is a consecration! I’m a french fan of the show so when I knew back then that David Charvet was french I was so jealous and proud in a sense. I dreamt of being an actor and guest starring there lol. That show was my favorite tv serie when I was a child/teenager then I became a fan of Ally Mc Beal and Desperate Housewives. I love that some actors from Melrose Place later worked on my two other fav shows.

MP characters can be divided into three camps based on which characters each of them interacted most.
There is 1. Camp Billy, with core members Billy and Alison. 2. Camp Jake, Jake and Jo, and 3. the largest Camp Michael, Michael, Jane, Sydney, Kimberly, Matt, Peter.
It is notable that members of Camp Billy and Michael could interact with Camp Jake in a middle but not so much with each other. For example Sydney, Kimberly and Peter never had any interaction with Alison.
Amanda was the only one who belonged to no camp and interacted with everyone.
That’s why Amanda is the queen
Heather was amazing. Spelling brought her on at the end of season 1 and made her a regular in season 2 to help save the show just like he did with Joan Collins on DYNASTY (Heather's previous show!)

I remember staying up late to watch this at 7 years old. I was going to marry Daphne Zuniga when I got older and we’d live at Melrose Place. Glad I’m in the burbs now though.

The thing about this 90 show was that they never gave the fans what they wanted. For example, Billy should have ended up with Alison, not Jenn.
Shows today really dont measure up, and I dont think I ever watched this. lol

@aznxlatinaxdiva She was brought in midway through season one in an attempt to boost ratings which had begun to drop, she was reasonably famous at the time having starred in TJ Hooker and Dynasty. She was originally only cast for 4 episodes, but ended up staying until the series was cancelled. It's rumored that the producers could have filmed a number of series on her salary alone.
She pretty much saved the show. She should have teamed up more with Marcia Cross.

Kristin davis presence in season 4 make MP more attractive & tense the show get high level in season 4 but after she leave the show being boring !!

She started appearing in Season 5. She was originally a recurring character. She was hired by Kimberly to have sex with Michael because Kim was dying.
