    The T1200 Explorer only has blind spot detectors, no adaptive cruise control!

    Thanks for watching, everyone! And yes, you're all quite right when you say the Tiger 1200 doesn't have adaptive cruise control. It was one of those moments where your mind's thinking one thing, but your mouth says another.

      @@brucecutts8841I've been in cars that have it and they've slammed on the brakes for no reason. Not sure I trust it.

    Tiger 1200 doesn’t have adaptive cruise control…

      Yeah, I was just about to leave a comment about that. Any other mistakes in his review of the bike or just this one? I don't know enough about this bike to know if there are any others.

    I am picking up a new GSA next week after 20 years off, I do hope I’ve made the right choice as this bike looks fantastic

      Had a BMW GSA for around four years, just bought the new Tiger 1200 Rally Explorer, it is as good as the Beemer.

    Please put an adjustment on your video showing it DOESN’T have adaptive cruise. I went down a rabbit hole after looking at this video trying to work out if it did or didn’t. Was going to buy the tiger if it wasn’t for the lack of adaptive cruise, sticking to the KTM SAS.

    So tempted to bite the bullet, but now the new 1300 GS is out, I'm torn. Electrically adjustable windscreen, which is a cool feature, adaptive cruise control using the front radar. But the switch gear isn't backlit, the tank is smaller, and to get to the heating you need to scroll through menus while riding.

    • @milesdavis8665
      @milesdavis8665 Před 5 měsíci

      They already having issues with the 1300gs. Plus modern triumphs are so reliable you don't have to maintain them as much. Plus it's something different from a gs. 😊

    Ive got the 2016 xca explorer and nothing I've seen or read about the gen 3 or 4 incarnations has persuaded me that there's any need to upgrade. Not least the software glitches ive heard about on the new bikes.

    I test drove one, loved it, love the looks too. But one thing bothered me: the heated grips were barely heating. Was the one I've tried a lemon? Or are the heated grips a weak point of the Tiger 1200? (and I'm not criticizing it, every model has its weakness!)

  • @loloverland
    @loloverland Před rokem +1

    What a biased review. Ok the bike has good points, but also a lot of things that are not so great or even unacceptable for that price: Dashboard UI and features is just a joke, windscreen a total failure, layout of blinkers and joystick totally weird, fork too much dive, sport setting not enough firm, front break too agressive, lack of small storage on the tank for credit card, tickets, smartphone etc. Too big tank, why not a 24 liters to keep the narrow form factor of the GT Pro? Missing ACC, weird rear tire size. Well, let's see next year model

    • @Kevimoto
      @Kevimoto Před rokem +2

      What a biased response. Are you a GS owner? Have you ridden any adventure bike? Nothing about this bike is a "joke". There's no perfect ADV bike, just what's perfect (or good enough) for you. I've tried them all and this one works for me. Out of all the other ADV bikes out there, I'd never refer to any part of them as a "joke".

      Personally I love engines with a vib, silky smooth motors come across as characterless for me. Hence I chopped in my Tiger 800 for the 900 and I love it!

    T-plane crank with its vibration just ruined that bike.. Completely useless on autobahns. 😞

    • @Kevimoto
      @Kevimoto Před rokem

      There's a big world outside of Germany. The bike is just fine. It's speed limited to 204 km/h anyway. If you want to drive at insane speeds, why are you even looking at an adventure bike? Adventure bikes, by nature, are a compromise. They can do everything, just not exceptionally well. Sounds like you'd prefer a Speed Triple.

    • @Art-kz6zf
      @Art-kz6zf Před rokem

      Speed triple is way too cramped. Nice bike though.
      Tiger 1200 is not a bad bike at all, it's actually a great bike, just has this one huge problem. I thought i would buy it when it came out, but as it is and how the competition in this segment is just really tough; why settle for a hand numbing experience when you have four competing vehicles that are just better? 🤷🏼‍♂ Only other bike in this segment that i would rank lower than T1200 is Pan America; that one was just horrible 😄
      PS: Rally version has way less vibrations on higher speeds. That's just quite heavy and somehow feels like a different bike altogether.

    • @Kevimoto
      @Kevimoto Před rokem +2

      Fair, but obviously subjective. I have a Rally Explorer and have no issues with vibes, or anything else actually. Many people have done extremely long tours on the gen 4 Tiger and never have I heard complaints about vibration. A Guiness world record for most amount of miles in 24 hours was just set on a Tiger GT Pro. I never saw him nursing his hands. I think what little vibration there is, must affect some people much more than others.

    • @Kevimoto
      @Kevimoto Před rokem +1

      Correction...the world record was actually set on a GT Explorer. I hadn't noticed a difference in vibes between the two, but I do know that the Pros and Explorers are different bikes. They don't even share the same frame.

    • @Kevimoto
      @Kevimoto Před rokem +1

      It would appear that CZcams has really gone out of their way to make it as difficult as possible to edit comments. I meant to say that that the Rally and the GT use different frames. Perhaps that's where the difference lies for some.
