Just got the motor running. It's a 3uz vvti using the 1uz vvti ecu, harness, throttle body and coils. The squealing is from the timing belt tensioners. Will fix it soon. Just happy to finally see it run.
I’d highly recommend that you ditch the 2uz and go with the lighter, higher reving, all aluminum 1uz/3uz. Regardless of which UZ you choose, you will definitely need the oilpan and exhaust manifolds from a SC400. There are companies that offer motor mounts for the 1uz/3uz Supra swaps but not the 2uz. You can use a mk3 Supra radiator. If you want to convert the UZ to manual, there are companies that make adapter kits. I only suggest XcessiveManufacturing and the Supra Store for the kit. Do not use Collin’s adapters. Then, there’s the wiring which can be tackled many ways depending on how much you want to spend.
His name is Yury Baranov. His face book page is "Toyota ECU security off, conversion adapters, parts". The schematics are on his page. If you need the wiring diagram to wire up the harness for your swap, I suggest you buy the official Electrical wiring manual for the model car your motor came from. They can be found on ebay for 30-40 bucks shipped. They are worth their weight in gold for these swaps.
Raul Camcho It did have an immobilizer but I sent the ecu to a guy in Russia to bypass the immobilizer. Works great. However I do have a few ecu's with matching keys and the needed parts to run the ecu with the immobilizer intact. Will use those ecu's in my other planned swaps.
What motor mounts did you use?
beautiful swap mate! what car did the 3uzfe come out of?
ZigZag802 this motor was pulled from a LS430. Came with the correct oil sump for the swap.
Im trying to do a 2uz swap in my 88. what all went into this?
