    How to do Termite treatment, Drilling Method and Inside Foam. Today I did a scheduled treatment at a restaurant, then we completed preparations for a Termite treatment. I treated a home for termites activity, because of the amount of activity we treated outside of the home as well as inside in the the area of activity. I completed the termite treatment outside using the drilling method. First drilling thru pavement with a hammer drill 1/2 holes spaced out approx 10-12 inches apart along the affected side of the home. I then pumped in the solution and proceed by sealing with quick creek mix to seal the holes. I always let it sit a few minutes then I pass a broom over the patches to even it out. Once it dries if done correctly its almost unnoticeable.
    I then treated the inside of the home in areas of activity by drilling 1/2 holes into the sheetrock about 10-12 inches apart as well and pumped in the termidor foam to treat for the termites. I patch the holes right away to avoid the foam from expanding out of the holes. I take special care to patch the holes as neat as possible and then clean up area as soon as treatment is completed.

    Would the drilling to 18" depth of exterior perimeter be sufficient for a house with a basement where the top of the slab is about 40" below an asphalt driveway that abuts the foundation? I will also need to figure out what pump to buy. Thanks for the video.

    Why does no one show their equipment?? (Been through 5 videos already). Anyone can drill a hole in slab, but what pump/etc to inject treatment?

      I will make sure to show the next time, termite season in North Jersey is around the corner. This was to give an idea of what is required.

    Check this video, you can get a good idea on what’s involved when treating for Termites when property has cement all around. Also treated inside with a foam into the walls.

    I have a huge termite colony in my house. The house is made of reinforced concrete. The treatment for the house is very expensive and I am looking for a DIY video. The termites have also gotten into the electrical lines. What treatments do you recommend to kill the termites inside the concrete and the electrical lines?

      What state are you located in? In the Northeast we only deal with Subterranean Termites.

    The video is worthless. If I’m looking for info how to treat termites. You must let people know after you drill the holes in the concrete, how much chemical you are pumping into the holes. Also on the foam in the walls, you didn’t say how much to put in. Also you didn’t even show what you were using to pump the chemical into the holes

      Mr Rider- I’m so, sorry you didn’t get what you paid for. Oh wait a minute this is free hmm. Listen pal move on- the video is to get an IDEA of what is involved in doing these sorts of treatments. If you don’t know that the amount of chemical used is stated on the product label as I’ve disclosed- you shouldn’t be doing this on your own, secondly if you are a tech and don’t know - then get another profession.
      You are one of the reason so many good people have stayed off YT. Thank you for your useful comment Craig. Stay happy pal👍👍😎😎

    What size bit you use to drill the concrete? Also, what do you suggest to make the cement patch closely match the original cement color?

    • @blayespestcontrol6900
      @blayespestcontrol6900  Před rokem +2

      I use a 1/2 inch bit 18” long. I mix the patch mix with the powder from the drill to try and match as closely as possible.

    I had a question, My 5 year termite contract was up and they wanted to renew. the initial payment was higher than my normal yearly visits because they said they had to drill holes into the home. They were already drilled from the previous contract. Do holes need to be redrilled every 5 years or do you just retreat?

    • @blayespestcontrol6900
      @blayespestcontrol6900  Před rokem

      Hello Dane
      Glad to assist if I can. The only reason anyone would need to re drill is if there is termites activity. Otherwise not. Now on the other hand - if you choose to treat anyways as a preventative then yes, they must re drill.

      @@blayespestcontrol6900 Interesting, they topped off my holes with corks, so i wouldnt think they would need to redrill. The holes are easy to access

      @@blayespestcontrol6900 but it is easier to redrill the patched holes rather than drill a new hole weakening the concrete more .you only have to drill past the patch and use the same drilled hole then patch again after treating

    That's quite a big area to use termidor. (Can stuff). It only has a residual of 6 weeks According to manufacturer. Boracare would have been 30 years of effective treatment. If I was homeowner I would have wanted to see proof of infestation before spending money on something that looks like you can't pinpoint. Drywall is cheap, repair is easy. Anyway, thanks for video.

    • @blayespestcontrol6900
      @blayespestcontrol6900  Před rokem

      Thank you for your input. The main treatment is the work done on the outside perimeter. At the time the treatment was done there where active termites in the area of treatment. As per cost, I’m in the Northeast of NJ where labor cost are through the roof- opening the walls and putting sheet rock back & repainting would have been way over the cost of injecting this solution into 1/2 holes in the wall. I do Pest Control not construction the option of opening walls is off the table for me unless the homeowners wants to do it. I use boracare on exposed wood when it’s possible and you are correct it’s a better option- just not always possible.

    • @michaelmerck7576
      @michaelmerck7576 Před rokem

      You must not can read a label ,termidor treated in a 6 inch trench and covered with soil afterwards carried an 8 year expectation but most companies only offer a 5 year renewable annual service contract

    • @michaelmerck7576
      @michaelmerck7576 Před rokem +1

      Boracare is primarily labeled to only treat exposed wood and is not intended for a soil barrier treatment,again ,please read your labels before accusing others of not doing the correct action

  • @ANYTHING507
    @ANYTHING507 Před rokem +1

    Do you only foam the woods beams or can it just be between beams?

    • @blayespestcontrol6900
      @blayespestcontrol6900  Před rokem

      The foam treatment is meant to be applied between the beams, the material expands a lot once its injected into the wall. All the areas treated are good to infect the insect once it crawls over the treated surface.
