  • Always Board Never Boring was very impressed with the Abomination Vaults Pathfinder Terrain that he recently received for review from Archon Studio. He wanted to get some paint on the terrain as quickly as possible so he could start using it, so in this video he goes through a very simple painting guide to get the set to a tabletop standard.

Ooosh drybrushing gets me moist 😄 great vid dude, exactly how I've approached mine and yeah washes do help as you can apply various colours

Yeah, the good thing about what I've done here is it's very easy to take it as the starting point for layering on details if you want to take the painting further, like adding variations in stone colours, picking out the tentacle details, and adding base scatter or moss between the flagstones.

    Looks very good.
Will do very similiar with my Dungeons & Lasers stuff. But more budget colors will be used.

Thanks. The great thing with this is two different greys from any company will get you through 90% of the work.

Thanks. These pieces have really good detailing so they look decent with the smallest amount of effort.

You say that now, because you don't know how many of those flagstones are hiding devious traps.

These look fantastic! If I wasn't already knee deep in WarLock tiles I'd be all over these!

They are really good tile sets. It all goes together so easily, and paints up quickly. I don't have any experience with Warlock tiles. That's the prepainted Wizkids stuff, isn't it? That looks cool as well.

TIP: put the connectors in the pieces and hold the connectors while painting.

Good idea. I think that would be very helpful for people doing more complicated painting work on these pieces as they could also leave the walls standing upright to dry.
