- Elder David A. Bednar, Of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, addressed church members at the 190th Semiannual General Conference of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on October 3, 2020.
Elder Bednar taught "Now is the time to prepare and prove ourselves willing and able to do all things whatsoever the Lord our God shall command us."

I will go ahead and say it. I'm really disappointed that there wasn't an audience to laugh at his food storage joke. "Frankly, we were afraid to open and inspect some of the containers for fear of unleashing another global pandemic! But you should be happy to know that we properly disposed of the hazardous materials and that health risk to the world was eliminated." That was gold. I love Elder Bednar

It sounds like you care way too much about other people and their discoveries. You sound like you are glad you love to hear someones lost. You can Keep pointing fingers at others when there are countless fingers pointing at you. Stop pointing your finger and be more helpful to others. I promise that will serve you better then you gloating over someone mistake. We all have a choice in the matter. It seems like we will always have the good The Bad The Ugly always trying to encourage the ungodly or the Godly because that is where your heart is.
Always good to listen to these Apostles of the Lord, there wisdom is beyond understanding 😇😇🙏🙏🙏 I'm a member of this church for 20 years and learned so much that I never learned in any other church in my entire life 🙈🙈 I'm also volunteering in the beautifull Temple in our land, so proud to be a member of this church 😇🙏🙏🙏🙏 and for Jesus Christ to be my advocate with the Father 😇😇😇😇🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

Not making a choice is a choice is a choice. Become devoted disciples of the Savior. So true!! So are we still in the world, but not of it?? Do we have to divide ourselves off of it?? What about the children and creatures who need our help??
Catherine if you never make a devastation he is basically do without. If we'd never mess up we can never correct our mistakes. If we never prepare our shelf with food and the store close the door you go hungry Now days. Food on the shelf is better than money in the bank because it brings peace of mind.

I had , a friend , ask , me , what , Religion i belong to ?
I said I belong to the church of Jesus Christ of latter day saints.
It be the first time , he has seen , my Bible , as it was the book of Mormon i had .
He asked questions , he has not heard of the church of Jesus Christ of latter day saints , before and can he join my Religion , ? I said yes ,.
He said do I need to take a test.
I said yes , the only test you will take is the test of your faith.
The test of faith is important preparation to prepare for what comes by opportunity and blessings to be like Jesus Christ.
How can people be tested if they die so soon? How can they be proved? If the millennium gives the chance to those who didn't get their chance whether marriage or kids and etc etc then why do we need a mortal earth like experience at all?

I hate the ten virgins story. Misused and used to sell fear. Not love. I’d rather give my friend supplies in love and sit with the riding out a “storm” than deny them. And how can we claim the bridegroom is all loving if he peeks out the door and states I don’t know you. Yuck. The father of the prodigal son didn’t ask if there was oil in his lamp. He loved him.
But the oil represents that which cannot be shared. If sharing oil were to make me more Christlike, then I would...but developed character once earned, cannot be poured out. It is not a parable of fear...it is a parable of facts.
I have associated the story of the virgins more about the time of death of the mortal body when no matter how little or much oil I have. It cannot be taken or given to another. While the father of the prodigal son as a plea to welcome a lift up others, especially family.
It sounds like someone isn't one of the five virgins who has oil in his/her lamp. Christ's parables aren't supposed to be feel good stories.
Your are thinking too much in terms of the physical. One cannot share a testimony or knowledge of the gospel with someone else. They must gain their own. We serve and help all men but when it comes down to it those who do not understand or care to understand the gospel will be cut off because they were blinded by the craftiness of men. No one can be saved in ignorance.
The Oil.... Is not tangible oil, it represents our Testimonies, it's why we are being taught to Hear Him
