    To someone whos never seen this show before there would be so much explaining.. The fact that this man is a father who only speaks in unintentional euphamisms, he has a daughter named Maeby whom he neglects, he is a down-on-his-luck actor whos just gotten the opportunity to play the character Thing and so is covered in rocks. He lives in a model home. His license plate is Anustart for "A New Start" but of course everyone reads it as "Anus Tart". And thats literaly just the background to set up for this 3 minute series of jokes. Its crazy how much the writers must have thought ahead.

    1) The film crew all hugging each other before they go in for the kill

    I think the main thing Season 4 got wrong was the editing. The jokes and writing were phenomenal in season 4, and the story was woven together amazingly despite the timing difficulties with the cast. The only thing missing was the momentum of the first 3 seasons. Given the show was originally broadcast on TV in 20 or so minute episodes, it had to be executed in a specific way. Season 4 draws out scenes that would've otherwise been cut down or changed entirely. Its still amazing, but a tiny bit more awkwardly paced.

    • @SteveBluescemi
      @SteveBluescemi Před rokem +4

      That's exactly it. Even this scene, which is one of the funniest S4 scenes, could've been significantly punched up with tighter editing. Like, did we need to watch the tv crew for like 30 seconds before Ron Howard explains "but there was a tv crew there"? No!

    • @Helladamnleet
      @Helladamnleet Před 3 lety +4

      >They were legally entrapped
      False. To be entrapped you must be doing something you wouldn't have already done. It's like how if your hooker ends up being a cop it isn't entrapment because you were already going to buy a hooker.
      Now if they cop came up to you and CONVINCED YOU to pay her/him for sex, that would be entrapment.
