Iowa has had a very stable culture for developing players NIL is going to be an issue there. The fact that nobody is leaving Nebraska for greener pastures tells a lot about enthusiasm inside program

I don't think so but right now getting a top 30 class and a winning season capped by a bowl game will get us there next year.
I think we will finish somewhere between 28- 33. Next year I expect a top 15 class, if we win 8-9 games.
It’d be awesome if we could land Michael Terry later this year as well. Wonder what that number would be at if we could.
Terry is not only a game changer, but a program changer. He’ll open up a pipeline to those Texas recruits. Nebraska needs to make a competitive NIL offer to get him to commit.

Iowa recruits worse than Nebraska, yet in the time period we haven't made a bowl game they've had 3 10-win seasons and I'm pretty sure they've been ranked top 10 more than once, and peaked inside the top 5 one year... Evaluation, development & coaching.

Really the Rankings don't worry me too much. I prefer to see the development of what we get. Coach Ruhle and his staff do a great job of evaluating talent as we have seen. I think too there are some big time recruits that will commit to us yet also.
Here’s a question is Butler going to help with the 25’ class in terms of recruiting? Are some uncommitted players going to consider Nebraska even more including Webber, Christian Jones, and Hawthorne. Yes he is going to be the DB coach this year but he is “right now” the ideal replacement for Tony White
@@MarcFlothe-m1g unfortunately not. Evan Cooper leaving damages the Nebraska relationship with Webber and more. Butler is a good coach but they have no idea who he is. The other coaches they are in contact with from other schools… they’ve talked to for YEARS at this point. Butler is joining the staff late in the process, hard to play catch up.
@@WilsonDittmanSports well Webber delayed his commitment ( I still believes he commits to Nebraska) it was apparent that he was more of a Cooper recruit than Nebraska recruit. Can’t blame him
However, I 50-50 agree with you about far as the 25’ class. If the DB room has a great to exceptional year with him leading the way irs going to change some commits thinking 🤔. It’s kinda a wait and see approach like everything in Nebraska.
I do believe though just based on his resume he does have some recruits interested/ intrigued
Add Webber ,Jones, Hawthorne and Michael Terry and we should be top 20. Terry won’t see the field at Texas as a freshman. At Nebraska he may start as a freshman at several positions . CB, Safety , maybe LB, RB ,WR as first alternate. Terry is that good . We get him he’ll change the program with guys from Texas heading towards Nebraska . Opening up the Texas pipeline. Just need a competitive NIL offer .
The Huskers have a lot of Freshmen, Redshirt Freshmen, and Sophomores on the roster so team recruiting score this year may not be as much of an issue
In the past 10 years Iowa has beaten us mainly due to less turnovers and better special teams. Personally I would like us to recruit NFL level kickers And punters. That alone would give us a minimum of 3 more wins per year

I deleted the video. It was about Terrance Knighton. In summary, rumors he’s no longer with the program. I don’t want to speculate until it’s official so I deleted

If nebraska already has a big roster overall… and we’re only adding a small class this cycle… shouldn’t we be getting 4 and 5 stars players and promise them early playing time and NIL money instead of loading up on these 3 star players?

All these 3 star players won't get you to where Nebraska wants or expects to be! Not good.
@@Badger5280 well yes and no...Rhule's teams at Temple and Baylor were ranked after the turn arounds..his classes were ranked in the 30s and even 40s ..he is a developer... While yes you want 4 and 5 star guys 3 stars are not the end of the world.

That's not accurate. Out of the top 10 recruiting classes, in 2019 and 2020, only one made it to the CFP. That was Michigan at #10. Washington is around the top 20, tcu was 27th and 24th in 19' and 20' they made it in 22'. Nebraska was around the top 20 in the frost years but never seen much success on the field.
Teams like Miami, OU, texas A&M and many others have top 10 recuting classes every year without much success. (Top 10 results)
Having a top recruiting class is great and recuting classes do matter but it is not the only factor for long-term team success.
For many reasons, all these tech and stats but guys are still getting over and underrated.

Sry we aint flipping eiither of those guys hah, I dont think we are getting a top 25 class, top 30 if we are lucky, that is the fallout of a top 20 class last year
