Mac Tonight is a fictional character used in the marketing for McDonald's restaurants during the mid-1980s. Known for his crescent moon head, sunglasses and piano-playing, the character used the song "Mack the Knife" which was made famous in the United States by Bobby Darin. Throughout the campaign, Mac was performed by actor Doug Jones.

Another thing, can we take a moment of appreciation for the amount of costuming, environmental design, tone, cinematic choice and direction, and basically overall imagination that went in to just create this commercial? I do appreciate this, as vaporwave never dies. It never even died, it just became smaller in appearance because some pop singers became a little bigger at the time. We can blame Billie even for the misdirection in musical tone, less so Bebe, Ava, or Arianna.

I remember the first 2 Mac tonight videos, it’s been some time. Wish I could go back to those times when things were simpler.
I don't know why, but the recordings you've used plus Saint Pepsi's song give this a strange "retrospective" feeling. If "Enjoy Yourself" is watching a person at their illustrious apex, "Honey" is finding a deeper respect for that person's life, which you didn't know they ever had. Fantastic.
