To be fair it was a 50/50 chance.
It might have been, Toriyama has his moments here and there. Certainly it's at least neat coincidence.
Almost every time a character loses and arm is the left one.
If I remember correctly, Cell lost the left arm when Vegeta used Final Flash or Gohan hit him with the Kamehameha... it was the left one Piccolo lost against Radish or Tenshinhan against Nappa.
Only Nail and Dr.Gero lost the right arm
Actually, Vegeta's Final Flash blew off Cell's right arm.

If it was just that, it wouldn't be bad. but the addition of Bigger Green! If the dragon says first Little Green then Bigger about himself, it's a height comparison.
Little Green alone could be in the TFS setting disrespectful. Saying Big Green towards Dende is showing respect. Adding Bigger Green about himself is diminishing that. But again I guess when Master Popo is around...

There is a little bit of disparity with 16 having a soul and the confusing theories on whether robots can have life. My guess is that Dr. Gero's son's soul resided inside 16's shell but because 16 wasn't technically alive he was not resurrected. As for 17 and 18, they were technically cyborgs, not androids or robots.
So things I noticed. There was no Nappa stinger. Granted, Krillin screwing over the owned counter is funnier (and makes sense since he doesn't do much in the Buu Saga), but it made me wonder why bring him back to life. Then I remembered that he's a movie producer and the next World Martial Arts Tournament starts with a movie of Hercule defeating cell. So that should be fun.
I like that they edited the father-son kamehameha to specifically focus on Gohan. Also surprised out of all the callbacks they could have chose to do, they chose to reference Yamcha's "gay" joke from like the 5th episode. Plus the "keep a close eye on Vegeta" foreshadowing is cool.
And in case you were wondering, there's no real canon reason why the Androids couldn't be turned into humans again. And 16 could have been rebuilt with the Dragon Balls, Toriyama just decided not to care about the details here.
There is a movie about hercules? Oh damn, with the world building already established in this abridged universe, that would be one of the best way to set up a foreshadow.
Damn these guys are smart.

The fact that Shenron can’t alter Machinery, means unless they pull off something like from Z Fighters where they salvage 16 parts and rebuild him 16 can’t come back. When I first read the Manga and saw that they can’t bring back 16 it was the saddest thing. He was a Redheaded Terminator with nothing but love in his heart who deserved better, they said he didn’t have a soul which meant he was more dead than any character in the show before or since. Seeing that picture of 16 sitting under a tree in heaven happily being with his birds actually almost made me cry.
My theory for what TFS did is what if Geros son possessed the android which is why he kept his love for birds since Geros son had a pet bird in his room before he died and he now can live on after knowing peace has finally been achieved
I'm not going to lie, when I saw that picture of #16 with a Halo made me cry.
I did not expect them to do a season 4
I was expecting a series of DBZA movies covering the next seasons. This is a nice surprise for me. :)

A joke in DBZ Abridged is that Yamcha actually isn't a part of Cell's DNA, which kind of makes sense since Cell never uses one of his moves. I guess Cell just feels pity for him and as a result treats him better than the others.

It was the most emotional trip with You from other reactors that I saw.
My personal theory about the beams not exploding on impact is that they are made of plasma. When plasma meets other plasma, it's more likely to merge than explode. And the reason beams explode when they hit something is due to the plasma releasing that energy into whatever it hits.
Ki has a factor in controlling it, of course, but that makes the most sense to me.
There are a few things DBZ Abridged did I wish the original would have done as well.
That picture at the very end is on the top of that list.
.....When you watch this with Guardian, pause at the right moment during the Cell song, around 10:08 on the original vid. New solar flare image, and equally....blinding.

Remember Gohan knows about Dende's feelings, and he pretty much just ignores the awkwardness, also they wasted that wish, Bulma could have taken the bombs out
@142pushups she could make a way to deactivate them, or just shut them down and do it, like how surgeons put you under with medication, and remove the bomb, and than stitch them up and bring them online.
I highly doubt they would voluntarily get shutdown after the first time.
Here's the thing, 17 and 18 are modified on a cellular level (as said in Super). They aren't like real androids/cyborgs made full of mechanical parts. Only thing that is mechanical would be the bomb, but since Bulma is not a surgeon, she would not know how to remove the bombs without potentially hurting them. It's just easier with the wish.

It's not like they really care that much. Taking the bombs out with a wish was more convenient than the other way. If any of them really wanted a wish, they could ask Bulma for the radar and get three wishes every year for the rest of their lives, but since they don't, getting a wish granted probably isn't that important to them.

I actually almost cried when I realized how long this series has been, I really grew up with it since I was 9
The parts that really got me were Goku's speech at the end, and Android 16 being revealed to have not only had a soul despite Cell's claims, but also *made it to Heaven too*
Also to add onto this, the reason he didn't come back was cause by this point, 16 had all he wanted: The world has successfully been protected, he is able to live with all the birds he wants, and Goku is dead. He saw no point to return, cause his life is practically fulfilled, and he's happy now.
At least we know why 18 stayed with Krillin. He's packing heat.
To be fair, gohan was the only one trunks knew before he came. And he was only there for a short while before he died horribly in front of him
Don't forget, 16 was made after Gero's son, who they included in that little video fragment on Bulma's pc and already dead cuz of kid Goku.

Krillin is the true hero. Because the hero always gets the girl. The reason that DBZ was and is one of the greatest shows ever. They got it right.

My favourite part of the reactions to this part. Seeing people lament about it being the last episode. And then right at the end. Their reaction to finding out there will be a season 4.
Turns out, Kaiser (the source of the post that this might be the end of DBZA) was not speaking for everyone. But just posted it on his own. They just decided not to print a retraction.
They said on stream that, what they will do for season 4 is what they did for FF7 Machinama Abridged. They are going to produce a bunch of episodes, then release them as a season. "This episode will be shown this date, with the next episode being shown this date."
Season 3 was their love letter to DBZ. Season 4 will be them having fun.

Yeah, I hope they still do some scenes with a comparable level of seriousness to season three such as Vegeta's sacrifice (which Lani already confirmed will get its due), Mr. Satan being shot, and Vegeta admitting Goku is better than him, but I can't wait for them to just go balls to the wall comedy with this season.
So much to say, first, VEGETA YES! Second, Perfect Cell singing My Way was well, perfect, third, Shenron called himself Bigger Green, fourth, Krillin owned the Krillin Owned Count, and finally, THEY’RE DOING THE BUU SAGA! It was a gag back in Dragonball when Krillin fought an incredibly smelly opponent that he was immune because he didn't have a nose. He technically does it's just his drawing style. Same as he isn't perpetually bald, he's just a sorts of monk and shaves his head.
And now we know why Krillin is so small: all his nutrients go to feed that python...

I... wont lie when goku was talking to gohan, it wasnt long after my dad passed away that this came out. It is funny that that and a scene from their dnd both dealt with diffrent parts of the grief I felt. And how badly I needed to hear that. And hearing it again reminds me of how my dad was. And how much I'm still trying to grow into a man he could be proud of.

Just so you know, TFS tweeted out the other day not to expect season 4 until 2020.
They have other projects and also want to take a break from the series.
In a livestream they said that the plan going forward is to release future DBZA episodes in batches, much like how they had all 3 parts of this finale ready to go and released them week after week.
If I had to guess, we'll probably get a batch of about 5-10 episodes once or twice a year.
They also stated in their livestream that going forward expect episodes to be a little shorter and less serious, (similar to season 2), with a couple exceptions for certain serious moments.
They will however release another DBZA movie, the Trunks epilogue episode, and DBZA Kai episode 3 some time in the future before season 4.
That's pretty much everything.
goku's the only one ever nice to yamcha, and cell has goku's cells in him.. that's probably why he still feels a little pity enough to be gentle with yamcha xD
I gotta be honest... It makes sense Cell came back so powerful. The closer to death the Saiyan is, the more power they get when they heal. Cell was LITERALLY A NUCLEUS. Not even a cell was left. The center of one. To regenerate his WHOLE body, he would get a power boost beyond what we could've imagined. If Cell had survived the same way with Gohan's Kamehamaha, then he could've probably surpassed Buu in terms of pure power
Vegeta is the true MVP in this episode : loosing his shit out of him because his son gets killed, then saying sorry to Gohan because he made him get injured by Cell, and finally disturbing Cell in return just to help Gohan to kill him at long last !
Ya'know, I wondered why 16 was still in heaven while the other two were actually brought back to life. But then I realised "if Goku can decide to stay back, doesnt that mean he can do so too?" Damn that is very poetic (is it?)

Is anyone else kinda scared for season 4, mainly because that is such a high bar to leave off on. And is an EXTREMELY high bar to come back to!

S4 won't be happening anytime soon : TFS intend to do multiple episodes in a row and then release them once per week. So I don't expect a new episode until 2020, but the hype will be there !

TFS confirmed on the stream that there's an epilogue, which I'm fairly certain is Future Trunks vs Future Androids.
in the stream after this final part aired live, Lani & Kaiser actually did confirm that there would be a season 4, because Kaiser fucked up and said on twitter "so....season 3 'might' be the final season.....just a heads up." then they joked about how Toriyama wanted to end the series at that point and whatnot, but as for season 4, along with that the episodes would be shorter than usual & they're releasing new episodes in batches on a weekly basis (like how ep.60 was released, they'd work on them each and release them once a week whenever they got finished), they generally said "don't expect season 4 to be as serious as season 3, we'll be having *A LOT OF FUN* with season 4, more than we did up to this point in the series. so if i had to guess, treat season 4 like Hellsing Ultimate Abridged.
