  • With Japanese oysters in their prime during the cold winter, have you thought about how to enjoy them?
    Today, I experimented with creating Japanese Oyster Rice! The rice absorbs the exquisite flavor of the oysters, making it a winter delight!
    Serves 2~3
    1 rice cup (180ml) Rice
    1 pack Oysters (5 oz/150g)
    1 piece Ginger (Thumb Size)
    1 tbs Soy Sauce
    1 tbs Sake
    1 tbs Mirin
    1 piece Kombu Kelp

    First, I like the way they sell oysters in papan. Wish they did it that way here.
    It is weird, but I can't think of ever seeing any Japanese dish with oysters before. Odd, as much as Japan loves seafood.

    I have never heard of this dish! It looks delicious! I grew up as a kid on the Gulf of Mexico in the USA side and we ate a dish caked oysters rockafeller sometimes! I loved that. I bet I'd love this dish too.

    Looks very simple! The most Japanese recipes have the ingredients that are not available in my country. But these are available! I will try.
