I’m 24 years old and thought I would be working an office job but over the course of the last year I decided I would be more interested being a game keeper what would you recommend for someone of my age? Cheers

You will need to contact the college directly but maths and English are usually a requirement

Is there any route for mature individuals? I am 24 and crying to get out the army and become a keeper

There is, look at mature student places at colleges that offer game and wildlife management.
Experience is also key, ask to help your local keeper / game farm for work experience

It’s plainly obvious Tim Robinson, that you have absolutely no idea about how the countryside is managed and paid for sustainably.

Waste off time keepers today are yes men and you don't learn keepering in class! It's who you know same old same old tutors ain't great and Sparsholt rubbish! Harry grass or the grass family went to collage and the grass family are legends and I'm an ex keeper when we reared our own birds!

game keeping ,will disappear in the future, shooting is a sick pastime we want to see it, not kill it

You’d only see apex predators if it wasn’t for gamekeepers controlling populations of all species. It’s the game keeper that manages the country side and have done for many years. Councils and governments would let the country side go to rot and be left littered in plastic and god knows what else because there’d be no funding to look after it. Or build houses on the land and we’d have no country side at all which is a bigger factor in wildlife disappearing

I find it funny how you want to ruin a young lads dream to become a gamekeeper. Keeping isn’t just shooting animals for fun which many people think it is it’s about looking after the country side around us and keeping traditions

Tim... you aren't looking at the bigger picture fella.
Whether you do it yourself or not is up to you; but I can guarantee that for you to live, a large number of other things need to die. This is just the way the natural world works. Think it through fully.
I'm not typing this to goad you by the way.
      Take care fella.
