You have such a melodious voice and with your sense of folk heritage the song the song becomes evocative of those past times and the lives of people who have gone before us .Ka pai te waiata !
I loved this, please keep these amazing heritage gems alive, and bless you always
Thanks and to you too x
Beautiful voice!
Jake Thackray's great aunt is worthy of remembrance. The song represents to me what so many of our folk went through, and has hardly been recorded. The lies that are told now that we as a people do not exist and did not exist, and have no right to say who we are, or were all privileged is the very personification of evil. Thank you so much Julie for singing this, It was also one of my father's favourite songs,
I can't get to the net often now, but what a cracking thing to find when I do.
Love to you Julie and all of yours.
I wonder what Jake would think about his legacy being carried forward by such a wonderful singer. He deserves to be honoured and you have done just that.
Your voice is such a beautifully pure expression of where you're from. It sounds like the Isle itself to me. Blessings to you.
OMG YES
Awesome! I have been hoping for ages that you would do this one and you did it so well. A beautiful voice for it. So, imagine my pleasant surprise when this was top of my recommendations this morning. Thank you very much Julie. I live in Swaledale and my forefathers have been here and breeding Swaledale sheep since the Vikings came over. 😊
Ahh it must have been you who first recommended it. Was so long ago!
Yes it was. So again, thank you very much ❤@@EatBakeSing
