i loved your insta tip on keeping the comb on the head with clipper over comb. Would love more little tricks like that. I still have trouble connecting the top to the sides with longer hair cuts. I also saw a video with a guy going diagonal with the clippers; he said it avoided lines, and it looked like it did? ever heard of that? I could tell you his name if interested. Love your content.

I’m a female barber. Pretty new in the game. I currently work in a barbershop/salon. It’s hard coming in and building clientele. I get discouraged a lot and sometimes I just want to give up.
Don’t give up! Just have to find ways to get your name out and bring people in the shop!
Never give up. Start taking walk ins and hand them your business cards when you’re finish with your service. That’ll built up your clientele fast.

I swear I’m there is no diss to you Shaun but if you were to put the bald line in w a a pair of skeletons that aren’t zero gapped just the same as you do w your babyliss, it would knock off more time to your cuts for you to detail. Nice Cut! Why isnt the slimline pro Sharp as your Babyliss? Cant it be Zero gapped to cut as close as the babyliss? What budget trimmer would you recommend for beeing my "babyliss" to connect skin shave with closed clipper length? Ist there a alternative? Just cutting at home and thought about modding a Buddha trimmer with slimline pro blade. Will that be enough sharp for the transition once zero gapped?
Yeah you could zero the slimline. Idk about a budget trimmer but you can get a skeleton reasonably cheap these days. Maybe one of the kemei skeletons?

Bald line
1 closed
Hit bald line with halfguard
Finish bald line with no guard lever play
Then: 2 closed, 1half hit the 1 closed and finish with 1 guard
can you do a video with your technique? interested!
Im just viewer. But what you wanna do is put the bald line. Then set the 1 guard guide line. Use the half 3/4 open and down fade, concentratiing on the bald line. Use clipper open, no guard and finish erasing line. Repeat with 2 guard. Half open, down fade. And finish line with 1 guard. Connect 2 guard to the top.
Remember to flick out a bit

The ergos are better for thicker hair and rebels are more well balanced
Honestly both are solid. Just depends. I like a standard clipper shape better so I use my rebel more, but used the x ergo plenty before that. Just has a different feel.

I go with the grain for me it looks a lot cleaner high fade number 3 on top with the grain ..
On certain textures that works. On some it will be inconsistent

The rebels are close yes. Not zero gapped but adjusted.

You know what no Barber shows or teach is what to do when you mess up or how to come back from a. Mess up I would like to see you mess a client up or course a client who doesn't mind for the sake of teaching others that you could make a mess up and show how to fix it that's what's on a lot of beginners minds
I’ve had plenty of videos where I mess up and just go in and fix it and talk about what happened and why. Idk how I’d mess up on purpose or what that would even be
@@Seancutshair no like the whole video is build around the mess up and what you say or don't say to clients or what things that are tip to remember in those moments i mean of course you have times where you messed up we all do but beginners have these first-time jitters right out of school and first cut in the barbershop I've known quite a bit of people who got out of school and messed up pretty bad and didn't know what to say or how to fix it I mean you don't have to do it I was just saying that's what I would like to see but I think your videos and tutorials are very well explained you got hands on you perfected your Craft Brotha
💡Also you don't always have to have a client to do a tutorial 😉 you can do one free critique a week, where you have someone from your loyal viewership send a video, for the extra video a week.

I'd love to be sitting in your chair and having you cut mine that short on the top, and razor shave the back and sides all the way up a little bit higher than the poridal ridge, and that high all the way around my head from side to side, I would have just sat there enjoying every minute of it while you're doing it.

@@tomlit6487 I have no desire to do cuts in 10 minutes. I believe with detachables fast cuts can be done but the level of detail I’m trying to achieve isn’t possible. They’re more for a walk-in fast pace shop. Really limit your when you’re trying to achieve more advanced shapes and blends
