For me, I'm going to only rank the first 3. I haven't gotten through crystal skull and I haven't seen dial of destiny yet. 1. Last crusade 2. Lost ark 3. Temple of doom I honestly didn't like temple of doom much. Solely because Willie was annoying and useless. I wish she was trapped in the temple of doom. She literally dropped indys gun and complained she burned her hand and broke a nail when indy was fighting for himself and SR (short round) and Willie was so unhelpful. She was only ever useful as a plot device when she had to put her hand through tons of bugs. She didn't even need to be in the movie and didn't even have a character arc. Marion is easily the best female character.

I never really got that it was "dark". It's by far the most slap-sticky of all the Indy films, and it's more gross - in a Goonies sort of way - than dark. This is the reason Temple was my favourite - when I was 10.

I was about to post my ranking but then I saw your comment and your ranking is the same as mine. Raiders has always been my favorite as I watched it the most when I was a kid. Crusaders is 2 for obvious reasons, but after seeing Dial of Destiny I would put it at 3. Ik some people dislike this movie, and while it has some issues I actually loved it. It tops Temple for me because it seems like more of an Indiana Jones adventure, as Temple didn't have as much of the Globe Trotting and treasure hunting that I enjoy in these films, but I still enjoy its action scenes. Also Mads Mikkelson's villain is now my 2nd favorite Indy villain, only being topped by Beloq. Temple also had issues with pacing, as the second half of the movie is like one big action scene, which can be good or bad depending on the viewer. But for obvious reason Crystal Skull is last. I do think that it's overrated, but it's still the weakest in the franchise.

Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (7/10) I thought some scenes dragged on, some scenes were hard for me to suspend belief on, and I wasn’t too interested in the whole backstory of the others or the motivation they had to find the crystal skull. 4.Temple of Doom (8/10) I really liked this, I thought it had a decent opening and a great 3rd act, but the first and second acts seem to drag on, there were some stereotypes I wasn’t a fan of, however I loved the ending and Indy’s character arc and the dark tone it had to the film 3. Dial of Destiny (8/10) Honestly this could be tied for Temple but I thought this one had a very strong opening, good pacing, an interesting plot, and a really intimidating villain. However many action scenes were slowed down due to Harrison Fords age, and I didn’t really feel like there was much motivation for Indy to search for the dial. I don’t think this film had a great ending. I understand why characters did what they did but I wish it was executed better. 2. Raiders of the Lost Ark (10/10) I think this film had the best opening, most interesting treasure, great romance, tension, humor, action, and incredible soundtrack. Every scene is so quotable and iconic. I love this film but it has its flaws in some pacing, long scenes, and some ok digital effects. Nonetheless I think it’s a masterpiece in its own regard. 1. The Last Crusade (10/10) This in my opinion had the best humor, best dynamic with Indy and his father, emotional weight, different locations and set pieces, iconic scenes, great villains, superb ending, great music, and an interesting treasure. Indy was really in his prime here and the movie shines in all aspects and completes Indy’s arc. Of course it has its flaws as all movies have but this is got to be my favorite in the series and probably top 5 movies of all time.

I think Indy had a great arc in temple. He starts off ready to take the treasure and sell it off. But then he realizes what it means and that it belong to the people of the land and he returns it. In addition to that he goes out of his way to save all the children in the mine.

I hate it because of rusophobia, new character ( as Mac or Mutt) and some moments are unrealistic( for example , how Mutt was jumping to the jeep on lianas with monkeys). 4 Dial of destiny . Im also hate this movie, but I think it's a little bit better than Crystal scull. Old Indy is so pity,that he persuades Helena to take him to her adventure. Sallah and Marion are just characters for nostalgia, not for story. Also, this movie is very violent . Indy's friends and colleagues are just dying by antagonists.But this movie is more exciting , than crystal scull. 3 Temple of doom. That was my first movie about Indy, that I watched. I dont like Temple becouse all events of movie in one country (except prologue in Shanghai ,that was cool) .Also, there is not much archeology, as in Ark and Crusade.But I like Temple becouse of it's stunts,humor and characters(I really love Short Round) ,and Villian was very cool. 2 Raiders of the lost Ark. @@GORILLA_PIMP Nothing is wrong with me. I just think that Temple Of Doom is too far separated from the rest of the Indiana Jones overarching story. Sure, Temple Of Doom is a good standalone movie, but it being in with the rest of the movies doesn't feel stream lined. Temple Of Doom tells one story while the other four movies seem to tell a totally different story. Long story short, the reason I don't like Temple Of Doom is because of how disconnected it feels from the rest of the Indiana Jones movies.

1. Last Crusade (11/10) I'm biased since i love anything with Christianity.
2. Raiders of the Lost Ark (10/10)
3. Crystal Skull (9/10) it's over Temple of Doom because i loved Shia and it's good to see the character development of Indy being married and having a son
4. Temple of Doom (9/10)
5. Dial of Destiny (7/10) if it was 2 hour I'd give it an 8 since it's peak was at the beginning of the movie which was a horrible choice. I got too much expectations wanting to see Short Round from Temple of Doom to return and also it felt like the previous film (Crystal Skull) did not matter as his son surprisingly died wow incredible writing.

5 Kingdom of crystal scull . I hate it because of rusophobia, new character ( as Mac or Mutt) and some moments are unrealistic( for example , how Mutt was jumping to the jeep on lianas with monkeys).
4 Dial of destiny . Im also hate this movie, but I think it's a little bit better than Crystal scull. Old Indy is so pity,that he persuades Helena to take him to her adventure. Sallah and Marion are just characters for nostalgia, not for story. Also, this movie is very violent . Indy's friends and colleagues are just dying by antagonists.But this movie is more exciting , than crystal scull.
3 Temple of doom. That was my first movie about Indy, that I watched. I dont like Temple becouse all events of movie in one country (except prologue in Shanghai ,that was cool) .Also, there is not much archeology, as in Ark and Crusade.But I like Temple becouse of it's stunts,humor and characters(I really love Short Round) ,and Villian was very cool.
2 Raiders of the lost Ark. Well, Ark and crusade for me on one level, but I think Crusade is little bit better. I very love story about love mixed with adventure about lost jewish artifact and evil nazis, who are working with French archeologist Rene . Stunts are awesome, actors are acting very good,and scene with opening the ark is still coming in my nightmares.
1 Last crusade. The duet of son and dad works very good. Shon Kennery and Harrison Ford make a lot of laugh ( I still love how Indiana meets his father in the castle) and Soundtrack of this movie is my favorite .

@@GORILLA_PIMP Nothing is wrong with me. I just think that Temple Of Doom is too far separated from the rest of the Indiana Jones overarching story. Sure, Temple Of Doom is a good standalone movie, but it being in with the rest of the movies doesn't feel stream lined. Temple Of Doom tells one story while the other four movies seem to tell a totally different story. Long story short, the reason I don't like Temple Of Doom is because of how disconnected it feels from the rest of the Indiana Jones movies.
