I think it helped. But I dont think that was the sole reason or even the main reason. Terry had a lot more money than Danny and she left Terry for Danny because money was more important to to Benedict.
I’m an old man now but I’ve been in fights before and I know what someone looks like after even a few minutes of being hit. The door men would more than likely know something was wrong after seeing Danny barely even touched up. I noticed this right away and it’s a part of the movie that’s always bugged me. I also know that it’s just a movie. Lol.
i just rewatched the movie, and realised something about this scene. i get the idea of danny getting back with her because love trumps money, but she really did break up with Benedict because she thought she was worth more than 163M dollars on the spot and probably the stability of 3 casinos after loosing any direct possibilities to pay back any gamblers. that's a pretty big ego XD

i love this movie also, but i wanted to comment on her leaving terry... would you have left??.... i mean she had her reasons for leaving danny.hes still the same guy... i mean terry could have just been saying that to get his money back... what i am trying to say is we r all human and flawed, so dont marry someone if your going to divorce them at the 1st sign of trouble... marriage is till death do u part, u marry the person u know and accept them for the person u havent learned about.... my opinion them being married Already, she sud have waited..don't want to wait? dont marry then.. easier said than done i know
