It's 184hp! Toyota checked this engine once again, because they wanted to use it in the facelifted C-HR. The new test showed that it actually preforming 184hp.
Nice Video like always! sehr schön!
Super Auto. Fahre den Auris HYBRID . Sehr zufrieden. TOYOTA FOR EVER!!
I tried a higher trim level of this and I found it very much to my liking. Maybe I'm crazy but I even enjoyed how the blinker sounds.
So I'm not the only one with blinker sound fetish lol

Thank you for your informative video man. I am wondering how much the mpg or l/100 Km when you are cruising behind semi-trucks or bus safely with Laser-adaptive-cruise control? In my test with older Auris 2015 at 100 Km/h , I got 3.5 L/100 Km when maintaining distance about 4 cars behind the semi-trucks. At 100km/h without any car in front, I only get 4.2L/100 Km. Wind drag is proportional to velocity square, therefore at higher speed above 80 Kmh, the MPG start dropping.
How long were you riding EV mode 80km/h? :)
Mine will arrive en 4 days,..yuhuuu👍👍
After much research this was the replacement for my 1.4 l VW Touran DSG. Much better mpg with only a 43 litre petrol tank, yet has a range of 600 UK miles plus. The ability to accelerate between 30-70 mph is good too.
How has the fuel economy been in the real world? Have you been reliability getting the 600 mile range?
I love this wagon edition so much, but we just dont have it!
Fascinating.
I like CVT concept, efficiency and fiability, but this noise on accelerating... Thank you for providing this practical information.
@Tech &Motors A great thank you for your enlightening answer. I really do feel atracted for not having a turbo, a clutch, etc. If engine noise is not a real problem, I'll go for it.
@Tech &Motors Thank you again for your highly informative comments which I've read with pleasure, partly because what you wrote is somehow what I wanted to hear :) No doubt many people will have caveats as the ones I had, and will be reasured by your first class information.
Every engine makes noise on full trotle!
i wish they brought this to North America. SUV's are way too big. This one is perfect.

Nice review. I've been looking at this car in this trim level but what's always been nagging me were the rims. I saw that this one has 17" which is what I've been interested in. How are they in terms of tyre noise and comfort when going over bumps and potholes?
I have the 2.0 litre Design with 17” wheels, the ride is good and tyre noise isn’t an issue for me.

How reliable was the auto high beams?
Endlich Drehmoment? Der Höhepunkt diesbezüglich waren die 475Nm im Prius 2
Countries with lower speed limits like sweden and finland the fuel econonomy in 80-100 is very competitive to diesel cars and in addition the city economy is even better. I think its a no brainer best economy commuter car for speeds up to 100 kmh.

this test is at last very a sincere one and shows exactly what lies behind the hybrid system 's fuell consumption, which is by far not small. My Mercedes CLS 350 D Shooting Brake (3 liter V6 turbodiesel,258 HP,620 Nm torque) consumed 9,5 liters at 180-220 kmh,at 140-160 kmh 8-8,5 litres.Nom comment. At my test drive this Corolla took 8,9 liters in average. On the highway over 10 liters at 160-170 kmh.In the city however max.5 litres. This is an "UBER" car.But if you drive a lot on the highway over 130-140 km only the benzin engine is working.Forget low consumption then. And great wind noise over 130 kmh,I tried 3 such cars all were the same.
These Toyota Hybrid cars are not made for those who are doing a lot of higway miles. I don’t understand why people don’t get this….?
I’m doing about 4,5L/100km (combined) with myToyota. Also It is very reliable, has low running costs and is very environmnet friendly with a Co2 emission at 89g/km.
This model is fell o advance?
No oil bottle in trunk like Vw has. 😎
Great, but I wish Toyota would bring the Prius Prime to Australia.
But on toyota Australia website got prius? Or whats is prius prime different to normal prius
Ok now i get it, here called prius plug-in
Yeah we have normal prius Hybrid 4th generation in Australia, but Toyota are not bringing in the plug-in version. I really don't understand why Toyota are not doing this because then they would be competing with Tesla Model 3, which are selling like hot cakes at the moment. It's bizarre, and I don't understand Toyota Australia's logic.
America wants !!!
中国没有这款,只有三厢车型,太遗憾了!
Queria muito essa Fielder no Brasil..😢
Me quedo con el Auris
Hi the 1.8 gives better MPG = Miles Per Gallon :)
This is black colour or brown ??
Its black or dark grey. Not brown
I drove one yesterday and i really like it. BUT the fuel consumption was really bad, not eaven near the numbers they given. I drove it really carefully, my goal was to see how low i could get and i couldnt get under 4,5 l/1000. It was a real disapointment, i now eaven questions if the elektic motor do any good or if its there so they just can say its more”enviromental friendly”.
I have a vw polo from 2014 petrol and it gives almost the same numbers, thats just strange. It really makes me question the toyota hybrids.
Mate, that's a 2.0l petrol engine! What do you expect?
@@mausecatchertrap2456 expected the numbers they say?
I bought the older auris hybrid. Consumes more then my brothers cla 45 amg. Insane, but still like the car tough.
4,5 liters per 1000 km seems quite good, lol. I guess there is on digit too much.
Another car that isn’t available in the US at least we have the hatchback
And sedan too
TEST DRIVE FREAK Yeah I guess I’m not much of a fan of how the sedan version looks I’d prefer the hatch or wagon variants but I do applaud Toyota for going outside the box recently with their current cars and commercials
In Europe the top spec model costs 31k GBP @1.3 USD/GBP = US$40,300.... for a Corolla !
That is US $3500 more expensive than a US-spec Avalon Hybrid
You still want it?
@@melcanuck5951 The British prices include VAT. For that matter, all cars are more expensive in Europe.
@@rightlanehog3151 VAT does not account for the FULL difference in price. Manufacturers charge what the market can bear, and the UK seems to have always suffered in this regard.
For example the US Corolla Hybrid costs $23,100 USD (@1.28 about GBP £18,046). I know there may be equipment level differences, but I would prefer to have that and pay the US price.
So the difference in price is $40,300 minus $23,100 = $17,200
Less the VAT (in USD equivalent on $40300) = $6716
Other price difference not attributable to VAT = $10485 [manufacturers charging what the market can bear - which is my point]

Any chance of testing the 1.8 122hp to compare with this one?
I have tested 1.8 and 2.0. And ... no way i woud buy 1.8 (122hp) one :) 2.0 have smooth acceleration on all pedal positions. 1.8 is slow on the start and fast acceleration ar engine rpm rices (like motorcycle). Real world fuel consumption: 1.8 is 5.0l/100km, 2.0 is 5.4l/100km. One advantage of 1.8 is that it can be LPG fitted (like 600-700€, for 2.0 price is more that 4k€, so no reason).
@@ReallyBigBug My main problem really is price, 4000€ is still a significant amount of money for a 30000€ car :/
Ask your dealer better price :) 30000 is price for luxury plus or such trim, real prices for "active" trim with 2.0h motor starts from around 24000.
In greece if you have a 2ltr engine you consider a rich man so you have to pay 500 euros extra every year so i order the 1.8 ,i hope i will not have big problem with noise/acceleration
If i woud choose between 1.8 vs 500€ yearly ... I woud choose 1.8 :)

@@dragospahontu Not better than CVT.. Same sh*t.
why top speed limit 188km/h ?!?
I think its because of electric hybrid engine, it was in lexus ux 250h too with 187 kmh top speed
ECvt gearbox
Because hybrid gearbox has 2 electric motors and engine connected together and one of those motors (MG1-starter) cannot rotate as fast as engine and second motor (MG2-used for EV driving). And its GPS max speed is 180km/h, in all Toyotas speedometer lying by ~4% because if you set up cruise control on 100km/h, in reality, its ~97km/h, thus you don't get fines..
@@rpgPalette Silly. But thnx.
