It's true. Windows runs much, much better than OSX on my 2010 17" MacBook Pro, and it will be supported much longer.

Jascu Alex - ScarXL I like windows, but tbh mac doesn't have as many viruses written for it. hardware on both is about the same. some things on Mac don't work on PC (and vice-versa), Such as ROLI's Equator sound engine not working on Windows. it comes down to what you use it for, just like How PS4 is more toward competitive gamers, and XBox is more focused towards casual gamers

Windows 11 will not install on a 2007 MacBook as it Microsoft dropped 32-bit support in Windows 11.
@@diamondman1543 this is false. the 2007 is a 64-bit system. The issue would be is that he started on XP 32bit. windows can't upgrade 32->64.

Druaga: One of the things that make you one of my favourite CZcamsrs of all that I watch is that you make videos ridiculously long sometimes without splitting them up. I cannot say it in words how much I appreciate that.

I wish they would have just kept everything the same with Windows 7 UI and stuff wise and just upgraded under the hood. Vista Aero was beautiful, 7 was good but not Vista kind of good.

I think Windows 10 was using Microsoft's Generic Driver (as shown at 53:01, where it said "GDI Generic"). I think if you did install the graphics drivers, it would work much better.
Just remember one thing: If you use the update function from Win7/Win8/Win8.1/Win10 just let it run if it shows 0%. Windows is installing updates in that time, it just wont show the correct percentage. And keep in mind that windows updates (200updates or more) may need more than 5 hours to complete

SP2 on vista is so good that it fucks up the audio driver.

I love the 8-bit guy's youtube channel. I installed an SSD in my 2008 13in macbook and it transferred files super fast and is super snappy and responsive.
Personally bro, I think that the game ran great in Windows 7. Way less lag and a smooth play time. I'm still watching your vids and LAMFO! Keep up the great work! =]

I ran windows 7 beta as soon as it came out and it ran fantastically although Vista did run pretty well on laptops and it was a decent OS perhaps not for people upgrading. the fully out of the box machines and a year later that graphics and sound drivers were updated and by the time 7 came out everything was ironed out I honestly loved the look amazing .

Windows 10 works wonderfully on a pc with ssd and proper drivers installed. This is upgradefest with old macintosh, it's not suprise there are problems.
I did this a year ago with a Dell GX280 desktop pc, so I can truely feel your pain through this whole proccess. I skipped vista entirely.

Maybe (well actually I could guarantee) reinstalling the Bootcamp drivers for Vista would have allowed you to run FMV on the Hotwheels game. You didn't give Vista a fighting chance. I don't understand why so many people hate it, Vista was very good looking, but really it was XP with the design of 7. XP was great, 7 was great, 8 and 8.1 were different, sometimes great, and 10 is great. Major Windows releases have all been fine since XP.

Windows 7 is probably the best choice for this computer. Also it's possible to go all the way to DOS to 10. You have to type the win command to launch Windows 10 if you do that.
typing win to launch was a 9x thing since they were based off dos
if 10 is nt based i dont think it would allow you to boot to dos in the first place to type the command

Hey Druaga, you could have selected the specific Windows 10 update tool from the update list (KB 3035583). You didn't have to install the other zillion updates.

Win8's update screen sometimes doesn't ever go above 0% you just have to hold your breath and let it do its thing. It usually always works eventually.
Just installed Windows 10 Pro 64bit on my 2006 iMac. Runs like a dream!

There's something to be said about older versions of Windows for sure. I had a game that ran very well under Windows Vista, ran slightly worse on 7 (a part was unplayable in 7 that wasn't in Vista), and the frame rate went to crap when I upgraded to 8.
There's also a different game I play that runs great on Windows 95, but is awful under Windows 10.
For all of these there's a new tool on the block called DxWnd look it up
For Windows 8, you could've just downloaded the ISO from MS. No product key required to download.
But yeah, if it's cracked and that's what works, go ahead.

1:05:35, even on a fairly newer laptop (Lenovo Ideapad 310 15-IKB) it takes longer than that to boot up and I clean Windows temp regularly. Windows 10 is just flipping slow, compare that to a HP Stream 11 Windows 8.1 laptop which takes like 20 seconds to start up (probably less, about 3 seconds on the HP logo then 4/5 seconds to put in the password then another 4 to get to the desktop). Just shows you how terrible Windows 10 is.
I had to put win 10 on one of these for a friend cause 8 was too slow lol those laptops are garbage

Oh yeah, French, my native language! Not bad, you understood the "Obtain" and "Important". "Mises à jour" is "Updates", "Installer" is simply "Install" and "Améliorer" is "Improve", not "Activate" (that would be "Activer"). At least, you recognize it's French and not Spanish and Italian like most of Americans :P. Good fail, I had difficulty to find a ISO of the French version of Windows 10 and you found one by pure accident! Just for your information, it WOULD have worked, but not like a update, but as a clean install (well, your configurations would have been kept, but not your programs).
(BTW, not French, Canadian)

My opinions on each Windows version. ( My Version )
Windows XP - Very good, Fast, but old and shitty graphics. Out of trend.
Windows Vista - I say it's in the middle of good and bad
Windows 7 - Best Windows released out there, Best graphics [Aero Theme or Transparency], best performance.
Windows 8 - Things get worse. Flat Design Windows. Worst thing on W8 is that the Start button dissapeared. Pretty fast though.
Windows 8.1 - Not too much difference.
Windows 10 - Everything free does not have big quality. A Windows 8 with Cortana. Pretty trash.

A) We know you are feisty, tenacious and hard headed enough to try to get it to work for more than a month, even if it kills you., and
B) Since we luv ya (in a brotherly, non-gay way), I'm sure some, if not many of us, would watch an upgrade procedure of yours that was > 30 days! I don't know of any other CZcamsr with a tech-centered channel, that has such a great, dedicated following - so consider yourself lucky!

I think the Gpu is used more intense on Windows 10 than with the older versions. You probably have to turn Dow the resolution a little bit and turn on anti aliasing to get some of the detail back. Probably much more smooth
Windows 10 back in 2015 was a bit of a buggy mess (which was the reason I stayed on windows 7 ultimate until 2017) not to mention the whole Microsoft spying on you in windows 10 thing.
Minus the SSD and the functional battery this was literally my laptop in high school: an 07 macbook running Windows XP

TFW things are so out of date that even Windows Update needs to be updated.
For older DX games like Hotwheels you will probably need to use dege.freeweb.hu/dgVoodoo2.html to emulate the older 3d api calls.
I've done this a lot and it works great. Basically unzip the dlls and stuff to the executable folder of the game and try to run it again.
Also it kind of looks like the video drivers weren't installed.
he clearly forgot to install graphic drivers with win10, older one have it installed automatically, or through apple boot camp software.

You Should go through the Windows folder to see what was left over from the other Windows installs. For example, FInd Space 3D Pinball and play it
well windows 10 wasn't made to run xp games anyway
xp games run fine on my PC, he probably doesnt have compatible graphics drivers for windows 10
