  • Hon. Oyet Nathaniel, the Deputy Chairperson of SPLM-IO and the First Deputy Speaker of National Parliament said in a press conference in Juba on Friday that, they are not going to be part of any process that will abrogate the peace agreement. We are not going to be part of any elections that will be sham, that will not be free, and fair that will be held in violations of the peace agreement. We will not accept it. We will not accept it. opposition regarding the election is very clear. Elections should take place after implementing the prerequisites. Without prerequisites, how do you reach elections? The prerequisites are very key for you to achieve elections. Elections are not the answer to the problems of South Sudanese. You know, those who say you hold elections without implementing the agreement, I'm sure you read the position of other parties, SOA and OPPs and so on, and SPLM, IG. They are actually insensitive to the prevailing circumstances of the country. I pity our counterparts in other opposition parties. Why? We also understand that probably they have a limited stake in what is going on. For instance, in security arrangements, they don't have forces in the cantonment.

The biggest worry is that, even if they extend the Transitional Government for 2 more years, they will do nothing. The only thing they are fighting for is to keep their positions.

which Election my dear young person ? Revitalized Peace needs to be implemented first. Because many of your brothers and sisters still living in Displace Camps and Refugees Camps in Neighboring countries, needs to be settled back to their localities ,home and Villages , these locals requires security to live in Peaceful co-existence, then Election would come next.

Speaking of "peace agreement" and not be part of election is a continue hostages of citizens in poverty. Please lay down your self interests and release citizens from suffering. lets go for election and reduce this huge government organization, there's no budget to manage this country without government

Suffering isn’t something new it had been there since the independence, so we need free fair elections not a frimed election, citizens got to decide which kind of government they want
