- Apologies in advance for the inconsistent quality of videos and images. It's just the nature of finding these things on the internet. Also, since this is very opinionated topic (despite me tending to prefer objective stances in debates) I do expect people to feel differently than I do. So debate away. Just don't make it personal and we're good. Also (currently reflecting before this goes live) but out of all the videos on youtube, this is the one where I'm the least sensitive towards everyone and everything, which is hindsight makes me uncomfortable because there's some things in it that I'd NEVER usually say otherwise, so a fair warning (Ex: To anyone any game developer who feels that I'm calling your work lazy, I apologize, I know how hard it is to make things work and you all are valid, much love).

How many of you wish I stayed away after this video? Also, having played Envirma for a bit, did I really miss much? The game runs really badly lol.
I was mainly on BoB, but I got burned out and tried out post update 3 The Isle. It's nice enough, but still very meh. I do like the increased transparency from the devs and most of the creatures' designs, but that's it. This genre makes me depressed.
For what it is, beipao porcupine burrower is cursed (same with your comparison of therizonosaurs to giant sloths, why... just why...).
Also the "dinosaurs that seem fake" point is literally useless here.
This is a game of monsters.
Last edit is that, though paleo realism is a good criticism, this isn't saurian.
Wanting paleo accuracy is not a reason to put some dinos in F tier, though I understand the "it looks nothing like" or "didnt exist" parts.
And I agree anky is a sin.
The beipao part really was bad criticism on your part, from its design as a darting swimmer that can slash at things its size, it doesnt look bad to me. And on top of that its original as hell. Same thing with the minmi, barring your paleo accuracy criticism and deinosuchus's existence, its a fairly original design and stands out (who the fuck doesnt love a turtle).
Finally, I get being mad about the paradym thing. We all are. Milking it for any reason is no good however, and on top of that nobody wants to see that in a tier list video.
Also welcome back, this wasn't the best way to come back at all in my opinion, but welcome back anyways.
No, I don’t really care or matter if you leave the isle.
Go back to beast of Bermuda 😂
reject the isle
return to BoB/PoT
@@midkil166 A duck beipao is just as wack as a burrowing one, it just a burrowing one makes alot more sense going off the animals apperance.
"this is a game of monsters" that tries to give its animals character **while still looking like the animals they are based on** aswell as in a realistic manner. Beipao could very well go up a tier, but its still an odd concept that seems to be added on just to make it viable (a few other of the new small herbivores have this problem).
Accuracy is not the point its in F tier, its because it doesn't resemble the animal its meant to be, and its niche seems a little out their (i personally dont mind it tbh but the porcupine and/or burrower niche seems alot more interesting and are both options that would make more sense).
Minmi would work if the design actually looked like it could swim. Its nostrils point downwards, how is it supposed to breath when it pokes its head out of the water, you can even see its nostrils still submerged in the concept art. Also, turtle ankylosaurs are just a bad concept, they literally couldn't do it. Everything else about it though is perfectly fine, just the aquatic niche is just poorly executed.
And.....Milking? are you serious? the fuck is he milking? hes literally just explaining why he left in the first place and why hes coming back, aswell as responding to criticisms he got. If you dont wanna hear it just skip ahead. And again, wtf is he milking by explaining why he was gone from the isle?
Anky is a sin though, and should burn as such.

yeah no those designs are terrible
what I miss on the Isle are niches, each animal playing a role, so small or less protected animals aren't just predator snacks, for example the real magyarosaurus, it didn't need to be big because it lived on an isolated island with small predators, on The Isle there could be a place, a biome, that favors animals like that and gives an interesting gameplay
There's always the possibility of chronologically correct servers, with only species that existed at the same time as each other or in the same ecosystems. It would shrink the variety a bit, but it would be interesting to see how balance gets affected in each little bubble.
@@potaterjim it would heavily help the game’s balance because some predators and some herbivores were never ever meant to meet each other resulting in stupidly unfair fights.
Yeah, like a little mangrovia root forest where only small sized Animals can ran through 😍 and maybe juvenile deinosuchus. A place where juvenile deinosuchus nest and grow safely before approaching the adult-size cannibalistic areas. And also a rocky cliff Mountain where Herrera and pteros could nest peacefully! ( I Hope if there could be borrowing abilities for Evrima or some cave-tunnel systems.. maybe with some rare mushrooms needed for particular diets and tunnesls so low that only medium sized creatures can pass. 😍)

Yes! Thank you! It looks like a sucho body, Crocodile face and a sail slapped on the back. PoT has a more accurate spino than the Isle. And I love the isle!
@@McChicken03 I don't think the isle was going for accuracy for this spino concept, just saying
Clearly the new spino is (like the new giga and elder rex models) specifically designed to look closer to the hyper strains. I love tadpole spino but it just clashes with the hyper concept too much to fit the game...
The old Rex calls were so fucking cool that guttural end at the broadcast was amazing

Each time you heard that broadcast you’ll see a herd running.
it was back when most of servers had altturn on, when rex was an Apex, with it's immense force, it could whipe away a crowd of midtiers, now, when almost no servers pose altturn, rex is basically utah food. I hope it's gonna be powerful in Evrima.

Never thought I'd see a lizard being compared to Ed, Edd, n Eddy
Troodon gets a pass for existing in my eyes anyway, as honestly I don’t think the information of it being an invalid species is that wide spread, but people developing a game centered around dinosaurs should probably be more thorough in researching. Main save for it I could think of is just making it a member of the Troodontinae family and just say it’s called troodon for short, that or just changing what it’s called all together
Troodon is still a real taxon, it's just that all material that was assigned to it aside from the first one (a single tooth), was found to be distinct from it. So it's not a made-up animal, just dubious.
@@SomeGuyandHisHerps very, dubious
I honestly feel if they are gonna have troodon they should’ve gave it feathers like what March of the dinosaurs or walking with dinosaurs the movie did. Instead of just copying the jp universe ingen one.
@@homiet-rex959 i mean, even so, didn't the JP troodon have quills?
@@tyrannapusandfriends6254 yes it did in fact have some quills on its head and I think some on its back

Because EdGY
Cause they wanted it to look like Smaug from The Hobbit.
BeastMaster09 I feel like Smaug looks more monitor lizard than the isle’s Megalania
I see kinda what they did cause did megolania look 100% like a big monitor lizard who knows look at bigger species compared to smaller vaireants it's dezine is a bit beefier than a monitor lizard and to be honest komodo dragon dosent look 100% like a monitor lizard so I can see that in megolania so the dezine is meh to me.
because it looks awseome lol
Another idea for Compsoghnathus, give them feathers EXCEPT in the area of the head, like most vultures
I like velociraptor reconstructions like that. Makes it feel like a really deserty animal
The saddest part about the paradym event is that every toxic troll can use it as a weapon against people who just wanna play the game. Whever I see people saying anything positive about the game, even if it's the slightest bit of positivity, there's bound to be at least one or 2 virtue signalling morons saying shit like "don't forget that the game is made by pedos" or accusing someone of supporting pedos for the simple fact of liking something that has nothing to do with the incident. It's just trash.

@@rexmexzilla
Yeah, even though some of the team may be assholes (Dondi and Kissen chief among them).
Personally, I've always thought that the new spino & new giga looked more like the magna strains of those animals than the baseline version of the animals
yeah, they really messed up the giga, why, just why, giga evrima version would be in d tier for me, the only redeeming quality, it is somewhat accurate, but the legacy version was even more accurate, why isle, why
If they actually were like Magna strains or something they’d be forgivable, but they’re not, and therefore I find absolutely horrendous, Spino in particular.
Dynamic growth + Hyper strains.
That’s why the new models are like this.
The Hypers are their own completely separate creatures and it doesn’t make sense when the Giga and Spino look like this when the Rex and Carno don’t have features that would hint to them being linked to their Strain counterparts. And dynamic growth applies to creatures without strain lineages so you can’t really explain that as to why the Giga and Spino look the way they do either.

Y'know, I have nothing against the Magy design as a sauropod concept, the massive dewlap is interesting and something I can get behind if done right, but why the f*ck did they choose Magyarosaurus specifically!? The huge dewlap and "small but tough" sauropod design would easily work for something else!
BAJADASAURUS! Or some other type of Dicraeosaurid like Amargasaurus. If you're gonna have a small sauropod don't make it absolutely defenseless!
I'm guessing they just wanted to be built different, I'm not against fictionalizing an animal to make it viable and the design in my opinion is actually pretty rad.
And while it couldn't run like that in life this isnt a 100% realistic game, to me it doesn't look stupid while running like others say but I understand the hate towards the inaccuracy.
I personally wouldn't mind magy + amarga being added as amarga is actually my fav sauropod.
Magy won't be defenceless in this game, it will be able to take on what it cant run from and can run from what it cant take on.
If I were the one balancing I'd give magy higher bleed resistance and up its defence, make it a bit slower than allo but can outstam it. From the concept art it seems it'll be able to knock down dinosaurs of around its size possibly granting it time to escape if needed.
@@ericford3653 The thing is, being an island dwarf is what makes Magyarosaurus unique! It would not be able to compete with land creatures on a fundamental level!
A lot of people don't understand just how tiny it is! It's smaller than a giraffe! Compare that to a Carno or an Allo for example and you'll see the problem real quick.
And if they try to balance it to make it viable by slapping a ton of features on it (some of which make no sense) then it isn't really Magyarosaurus anymore.
But that's just my take on it.
@@saurianfan7102 "how Tiny it is"
I was aware it was rather small being a similar size to cerato. However I wasn't aware of how big allo was. From my thoughts allo would've been a similar size to cerato being slightly bigger.
I knew it was smaller than a giraffe, so is allo and cerato but I wasn't aware of the weight desparity allo has 1 ton on magy and is about 1 meter taller.
Magy should be able to handle carno in a fight just like cerato (cerato should have a far stronger bite than carno)
Which is why I thought allo wasn't such a big deal, all 3 are mid tiers carno was speedy but had a weaker bite, cersto will be slower and have a strong bite force.
And my ignorant self thought allo would be a balance between them but damn it looks like allo would shit on cerato or carno (though carno could run)
In the concept art it shows a cerato using water to escape an allo, that would also be useful for magy to take advantage of.
"Slapping a ton of features"
Honestly the bad taste from being eating wouldn't help it in an actual fight however I like that somewhat.
The only feature that's useful would be the speed of magy, which I agree would raise questions though I know sauropods weren't lazy slow creatures but they aren't speed demons either.
Your take opened my eyes abit, the only way to balance it appears to either be speed increase/outstam (from a certain distance allo wouldn't be able to catch you before it runs out of stam) which would require you to be alert of your surroundings. Along with the implementation with that reverse slam attack which dropped the cerato which would give some time to cause distance.
But I dont see amarga or baja fairing any better against that.
I've been sleeping on allo 😂
@@ericford3653 That's fair.
@@saurianfan7102 what's your most anticipated dino for the isle, mine is dilo.
Cool idea I had for the Galli, make it be able to change how it looks depending on its calls.
If you hold 3 call for a few seconds you put your head down and stretch your arms out to the side to be more intimidating, AND you can run while looking like that.
Me, whose fave dinosaur in the Isle is Herrerasaurus: happy noises.
Saaame herra and cera are my favorite

@@FotoStudios418 While I do like the imaginative design of the Magyarosaurus, it really shouldn't be in the Isle. Insular Dwarfism isn't a positive trait in an environment with full-sized predators, especially when they have to give it impossible skills like outrunning an Allo or poisonous flesh that most predators can't eat just to compensate. I can understand them wanting a mid-sized herbivore that wasn't just another Ornithischian, but there were better choices than an inbred sauropod dwarf.

I’m surprised the JP ripoff that is spino wasn’t mentioned because unlike the concept art which gives it Godzilla vibes, the current model has very similar proportions to the JP spino. And while the Legacy spoon didn’t look all that much appealing, it had at least some accuracy on it’s side. Anyway I just hope they make it looks like the concept art.
The Legacy spino is just as If not less accurate then the new spino
Edit:the sail is horribly made on the current spino and has no clear separation which is what new spino had also new spino doesn't have a perfect half circle which is accurate
To be fair, Scanova did say that the new model is still better than the legacy one. Floppy pool noodle.
It... doesn't have JP proportions though? Like, yeah, the legs are longer than it might've had in life, but JP Spino had LOOOOOONG legs, comparable to the Rex.
Good thing the devs confirmed that Austroraptors redesign is being changed.

btw yes velo, taco, and oro will be in evrima. Specifically the devs had taken interest in the popular spider monkey/lemur oro niche from the community.
also in a devlog they did update alberto's model slightly and it looks better. They gave it a bit of a longer neck.
Good cause I like being useless in legacy and rather continue doing so in evrima
I have to agree with you, as much as I love the Spino design from Evrima, the design is kinda overexaggerated and the original concept art of the design is much better.
I honestly would prefer if the current ervima spino design was utilitezed as it's magna strain or something
The evrima spino looks so badass but I feel like it doesn’t fit the style of the isle. It reminds me of that one spinosaurus from Jurassic the hunted I think it was called
Didn't I see you commenting on Giirator's channel?
I fail to understand your reasoning for the Pteranodon.
It may be far from perfect but it definitely isn't a dumpsterfire either.
The wingshape isn't nearly as bad as you make out to be here and sits within the range of what could be considered plausible.
Sure the running takeoff is a bit ridiculus but I think it serves a valid gameplay function of providing a less stamina intensive yet slower method of gaining flight.
Personally I would place it in C tier, as I see it as an adequate design with a few issues that can be overlooked when squinting a little.
I never thought he would come back, sconva is underrated
Honestly I think the pteranodon looks great even though it’s a bit unrealistic, but yeah they really need to fix the takeoff.
The skimming thing throws me off too. There's a reason that only 3 bird species skim. It just ain't safe; especially if you are a large flyer. Divebombing feels more appropriate.
Anky and austro were my mains before I quit The Isle, rest in piece old designs
I understand that with hypsi the feathers can be a bit distracting and its understandable to question why this animal received the heavy feather treatment, but it makes sense. Its believed that dinosaurs courted mates in similar fashions to birds, and I think hypsi is the Isles version of a peacock. Sexual dimorphism is a big part of the games upcoming designs and I appreciate the realism they are taking with it. The male hypsi is an outlandish design, but its grounded in the concept of courting mates. I can see why the developers went this route with the hypsi, as they wanted to highlight its dimorphism through the extravagant structures and bright colors it has. The skin system will add a lot of flavor to brightly colored male animals like the hypsi.
yes but it's weird how an animal that it's feathers are pure speculation got them but ones that 100% had them like velociraptor, gallimimus, velociraptor etc. don't...it feels empty and weird especially to the dromaeosaurs...austroraptor is feathered, utah and velo are scaly, tell me isn't that so obviously different and weird? this is like they come from different games, utah jurassic park rip off, velo good shape but no feathers and austro something on it's own with feathers while all of them are legit the SAME group of dinosaurs
The inaccurate part about hypsi isn't actually that the feathers are extravagant, but that they look very bird-like. Dinosaurs evolved fairly complex feathers a few times. But only in the coeleurosaurs did we see pennaceous feathers appear, which seems to be what hypsi has. Pair this with the fact that dinosaurs which we KNOW had pennaceous feathers lack them, and it makes it weirdly inconsistent. But I guess it just means they do whatever they think looks coolest.
I'm not trying to defend the isle, but in my opinion having dinosaurs similar to dinosaurs in JP is not really a problem. In my opinion it is positive, because JP was a great franchise that likely sparked the love of dinosaurs in most fans, and most of us probably want a JP styled game. Yes it's not realistic, but it's realistic enough for me to suspend my disbelief. Also you expressed concerns about inconsistencies with feathers in dinos, and I have heard that just about all of the dinos will be getting an optional feathered model.
Yeah I think calling them ripoffs of JP is a little much, its pretty well known that Dondi is a diehad JP fan, seems more like paying homage. When he used to stream a lot he'd literally say he's making the JP game he always wanted and we were just along for the ride. The old sound guy Dinosauriac was literally using some of the same stock animal sounds as the JP franchise to make them similar purposefully. I'm not really into JP, but I recognize it as nostalgic and to my generation raptors bork like sandhill cranes
i do disagree with many of your points but i like hearing what other people have to say so i dont mind.
i disagree with the part of him saying troodon doesn't exist, it has its own taxon its just there is no complete reconstruction of it yet
@Krystian Zięba I guess we're gonna have to wait until science gets improved
I think he should just get a life because clearly all hes doing is being a hater and a critic and a annoying at that
personally I love the mega's look, aside from it's goofy grin, having just a giant komodo dragon is I guess fine but making it look different makes me like it more.
@@Nick-co5sj you play the isle and you're complaining that someone else has no life?
Now that I think about it amargasaurus or Bajadasaurus would have be a much better choice than magyarosaurus, not only are they still small for a sauropod but they has actual defences that would assist it in protecting itself against larger predators (the giant impale-a-man spikes on their necks) instead of just shoulder checking like in the concept art
28:55 as someone who was out of The Isle loop, I was *NOT* prepared for that. It literally looks like the Megalania have been inbreeding for thousands of years as you said.
Honestly the realism excuse doesn't even hold up anymore. Isle has started saying as of late that they now suddenly don't care for total realism, and making that the "reason" why they make such vast changes and silly things. But at this rate I've just lost track anymore. They've been all over the place with stuff they say.
Because complete Realism would kill the game.
For me so long as the creatures look realistic I dont care about anything else because this is a game where balance takes priority over realism.
@@ericford3653 realistic and some of them way different than what they really were...and don't say the "it's not aiming for accuracy" because even if it doesn't creatures like beipiaosaurus are so different from the real animal they mostly are a made up species in appearance that never existed
@@firegator6853 the lore of the isle is that the dinos were engineered. Meaning they dont have to look accurate.
Beipi takes design liberation and has a niche that fits the island it's on.
Carno wouldn't ram other dinos, stage couldn't swing its tail in a jab like motion, etc. Etc.
Cry more m8, this is a game and the dinos dont have to look accurate, it's not an entirely different creature, it plays like an entirely different creature. Rex in the isle can run, while irl it would've trotted at high speeds.

Ok ngl your aquatic ankylosaur comments at 27:10 make me chuckle quite a bit. The no nonsense delivery is just perfect.
Anky hippo when
@Ghassan Putrayurri kinda
The Utah needs feathers and the Spino needs that unique tail feature. I hate seeing Utahraptor getting overshadowed by Jurassic Park's abomination, and I've dreamed of a feather-crested eagle Utahraptor in a dinosaur game for ages.
I’m gonna have to say this again because people just don’t seem to realize that the new, plated model is meant to smoothly segway into the hypo version.
Jurassic park's raptors you mean :/
So wait , it’s about creatures that were in the game or creature that have concepts and not old models , because the other 5 which are confirmed, apatosaurus, Rugops , plateosaurus , styracosaurus , pachyrhinosaurus, have models , and the rugops model won’t probably change
And carcharodontosaurus :,) one of my favorite dinosaurs
As a very pedantic person I remember for the longest time resisting to play the isle in the beginning because of the JP naked raptors. Now I just pretend that this is not a real utahraptor but a giant mutated monitor lizard.
@@theanzugod4828 Pretty much any dinosaur could be described as “Giant mutated monitor lizard” though
Gonna have to disagree with deinosuchus' placement for "design consistency" reasons. It is just a photorealistic modern-day alligator sized up and stuck into a game alongside much more imaginative/outlandish dinosaur designs (which is fucking BONKERS to me because....megalania? Is a stylized version of an extant reptile just like deinosuchus?? And look how absolutely not-like-a-monitor-lizard that thing looks????). PoT's sarco at least LOOKS like it belongs with the rest of the roster. Deinosuchus looks like it was brought to The Isle from the mainland and given growth hormones
I think part of the issue is having two different artists with VASTLY different art styles tackling designs. Fred's art has ALWAYS had that more realistic and grounded-in-reality slant, it looks like the dino depictions we see in paleontological papers (fuck man, he's even done art for Wikipedia). Tapwing's art is swooshy and lithe and fantastical and heavily stylized WHILE still being believable, so it's no fucking wonder the Fred designs look so different in her concept arts
Also ~2017-2018 rex and utah calls were the best calls for those dinos and both dinos were made worse with the later edits that made them sound just like their JP counterparts
I liked the "the most extreme" background music you put in the creature design segment.
Can’t we just have a Dilophosaurus that is capable of taking down bigger dinosaurs as it should be?!
Apato, brachi, and cama won’t be added anytime soon
Edit: also that should really be an apex role, a bunch of dilos taking down an adult sauropod is stupid unless it’s a dwarf like magy

24:40 I agree here, like Dondi ok we get it you like Jurassic park but can you stop trying so hard to make different dinosaurs just a discount version of what we saw in that franchise? It’s boring and unimaginative, the “”utah”” is the epitome of this. The Spinosaurus is pretty garbage too, it’s one of the most unique dinosaurs known to man and they made it so.....generic looking, what’s the point?

The smallest hitbox
The ability to find shelter, basically anywhere
The best invader of burrows
The ability to climb any surface
Extreme jump height
A pounce that can literally bring it half way across the map
The tightest turning circle
Near immunity to fall damage
Near immunity to injury damage
The ability to threaten entire herds of herbivores by itself and being able to solo Rexes and Acros.

@@carrott36 They are almost entirely out of the window, we have so many skin graphs showing scaly skin that the only "feathers" that could possibly be present on it were peach fuzz.-esque.
@@legendarygoji9621 Feathers could have been present in other places, and I agree that it was most likely fuzz-like.
@@legendarygoji9621Sparse feathering is actually considered neither accurate nor inaccurate for every scaly dinosaur. Basically it's a god of the gaps speculative thing. It's not impossible for every dinosaur ever to have had feathers in some parts of its body, especially if they're tiny, so artists are free to make that decision whenever they like and it will technically never be inaccurate.
Kinda like colors on dinosaurs I guess. Most dinosaurs have unknown colors so you just have to pick one. Someone could argue that plain brown or gray is most likely in most dinosaurs so you should always reconstruct them that way. But obviously this would just lead to poor and uninspired design, so people pick colors with a bit of speculation and a bit of science.
To sparsely feather a dinosaur or to fully scale it is basically the same thing.
You pretty much have to decide if you think scales would replace feathers when evolving, OR if you think small feathers would stay behind, like in the case of the fur in almost all mammals.
Personally I think scales replace feathers rather than scales being added and the feathers shrinking, so I think most predominantly scaly dinosaurs had no feathers at all. But I can't really know for sure so I don't care when I see reconstructions to the contrary.
What I do hate is people reconstructing specifically tyrannosaurids with sparse feathers and every other scaly dinosaur with JUST scales. Be consistent!

I listened to the entire video, I didn't want to be one of those people that blindly agree with everything because it's their favorite CZcamsr or something. But I'll be honest, from the design critique to overall just comparing dinosaurs I have to agree with everything you said here.
And the thing I agree with the most is the Utahraptor. From the moment they introduced it to Evrima I hated it. It's baby-juvi run animations are awful, it's eating animation, and it's calls are just cat hisses. In my opinion, this is the worst dinosaur the Isle has so far. I'll be surprised if they manage to do worse with Magy.
For me it's the carno atm, it feels to much like just playing a Utah thats bloated up. They arched the carnos neck to high just like the Utah so it stands like a chicken.. it needs to be straight like a board, carnos heads should be lower/even with their spine and they need to feel heavier.. imo
I respect your right to have an opinion!
Magy looks far more amazing than it did irl, I like the speculative design they took with it.
As for utah I know some dont like it naked but I do and it's great that it's gonna be a choice in the future, I personally dont care whether they are feathered or not, for me the playstyle is what matters most.

It would be cancel culture if people stopped playing because of a disgusting perv who got kicked however I dont think this was an example of such as some members of the team dismissed it as nonsense without doing an investigation, that part is what would make me upset and why I dont believe it was cancel culture.

From all the abilities you give to an Ankylosaurid: swimming?
Well they could swim, but definitely not dive like a Hippo 🦛, Ankys are one of the worst swimmers, because we know that in some cases, they will flip upside down and die
But who knows, maybe there are good anky swimmers, but from all of them we can agree, Minmi is not a good choice for a swimmer.
Missed your insightful videos, Scanova.
26:55 "This boi can literally do everything. It can burrow, it can defend, it can swim?? why is it so generalized?" Wait till he discovers snapping turtles (and freshwater turtles in general)
I actually really love the Beipiaosaurus design and gameplay mechanics, i just think that it would have been better if instead of Beipi they would have used other dinosaur, like Halszkaraptor. And i know it would have been very similar to the Austroraptor as another swimming Dromaeosaurid, but Austro is heron-like, meanwhile Halszka is diving and penguin or goose/duck-like.
Jurassic Park was made with the best knowledge available at the current time about dinosaurs, book and movie alike.

Also question, if Magyarosaurus is replaced with Bajadasaurus/Shunosaurus/Salta/or Amargasaurus, do you think it would be viable?
I dont believe magy should be replaced, but rather that Amarga would just be another addition to the roster.
The way I see it Amarga would be a more offensive magy.
Both would run pretty fast ingame (Amarga is rather fast irl)
The difference would come in the fact that
- Amarga has neck spikes and would deal lots of bleed.
- magy has osteoderms which would provide more defense and would deal fracture damage.
Magy is more defense oriented and Amarga would be more offense oriented.

Fantastic list, really breaks down the biggest problems this game's dinosaurs designs have, ESPECIALLY for those in F tier. For the most part I do agree with the list, my only issues personally are with Quetz and Herrera. I wouldn't put them so low as D and certainly not F, but I do think they have some issues that would keep them from S tier. Quetz I can see in A/B depending on its animations as you said, but Herrera I just do not like. I think the design compliments its gameplay style and that is fine, but I don't see that working for Herrerasaurus, there are a number of other theropods that concept could have worked for, it just feels like too much of a departure from the real animal just to make it fit the lifestyle they wanted, it's more comparable to your complaints with Beipiao in that regards.
But besides that, great video. Hoping you don't regret returning to the Isle and that the game keeps improving over time, goodness knows it needs to.
What other theropods would have fit better? I'm legit curious
@@indorfan Only ones I can think of are dromeosaurs where you could speculate them running up trees and then pouncing on prey from above. It's more speculative than what we know, but it's at least plausible among dromeosaurs unlike with Herrerasaurus where it was a complete fabrication. I should also specify this only really works with feathered dromeosaurs, scaly raptors would run into the same problem as the Herrerasaurus in this case. So I think Deinonychus would have been the safest bet.
@@scorpiopede I think they chose Herrera because it was in legacy and wanted to differentiate it

@@scorpiopede yeah lol, I do like it's playstyle tbh and its interesting even despite the flaws
The real question is why does monolophosaurus exist
Anytime “viability” is brought up, I just cringe. These animals lived long before humanity and did so for millions of years - the designs clearly did something right. If that design doesn’t gel with the gameplay, do as was said at the start, and find a new animal for the game
"The isle" *shudder*
Yo
For the Beipiaosaurus they should have just used an animal like Halszkaraptor, for Beipiaosaurus it would be like a smaller, fast stego that has a porcupine playstyle, that'd be great

Not that it is a bad video, while I disagree on many points, it is still just a game and I also laughed a lot. And what happened with punchpacket ?
the acro i always found weird in the isle, the theri...honestly...is just...was just fine as it is, the alberto just needs a more slender body build and i just hope they reuse the old giga design.
The rest i pretty much agree with, even though some points i never actually considered.
Man you where not joking when you said you where going to be ruthless with some of these, and honestly I agree with alot of your reasonings and how you ranked some of these designs, tho theres some exeptions GOUGH Quetz GOUGH but yeah. Also as for the bit in the start I belive your fully justified in wanting to leave the comunnity after what happend.
I feel like to make the compy’s better would to make them like vultures example they would have a naked head so when they eat the carcasses they get a bloody head like vultures do and have feathers on the rest of its body what do you think scanova
32:16 By many paleontologists Troodon formosus is STILL valid. Hopefully sooner or later more skeletons will be found, so that can the Taxon problem will be resolved. But saying that Troodon doesn't exist is far from true. Overall some of your points were pretty much objective which i highly appreciate , but there are many subjective ones as well, like bringing up accuracy and then mixing it up with your preference, like the Giga. Also a nit pick , searched beipiasaurus and from other pics and wiki Beipiasaurus compared to a Human, it really was quite similar to the Isle one, the main difference is the amount of feathers you put on the model, which really isn't a big deal since there is a lot of controversy about how did his feathers looked like. Anyhow, a decent video enjoyed it nonetheless...
This is the most emotion I've seen you emit
Haha, yeah
Also, I haven’t checked in on troodon on a wile.
So wenn troodon is a fake dinosaur, what was is supposed to be now? I actual forgot so pls somebody tell
The only fossils that can be attributed to Troodon was the tooth that names the dinosaur.
Since Teeth aren't exactly good indicators of what type of animal it is, so its not considered a valid genus.
Stenonychosaurus and Latenivenatrix are the two dinosaurs that the other fossils have been split into.
@@VelociraptorsOfSkyrim ok thanks, still why giving it a new more complicated Name, Jesus, I will have a hard time saying instead of troodon, Stenonychosaurus or something.
It’s a bit hard because Troodon, even from its name was one of my favorite Dinosaur, but the new names aren’t also that bad, still wonder where that mysteriously tooth came from, if that would be called Troodon?
@@VelociraptorsOfSkyrim also do you mean, all fossils found where actually not Troodon? (Technically not related of the one who owned that tooth) right?
@@thelittleal1212 What I mean is that, since all we have of Troodon is a tooth, we can't identify an animal with just a tooth.
For example, if I gave you a bag of teeth and I ask you to separate the human teeth from the Chimpanzee teeth, besides the canines, you wouldn't be able to tell the difference.
The reason we split Troodon is because the defining features of both animals are not in the teeth, rather they are in other parts of the anatomy. And since all we have to go on for Troodon is a tooth and nothing else (not even a skull), it was made into an invalid Genus.
It's entirely possible that the tooth came from a Stenonychosaurus or Latenivenatrix, but since the teeth on both are identical, we can't be sure.
@@VelociraptorsOfSkyrim that’s a good point
So are you coming back to the isle? Did It do that 180 you talked about?
What i dont understand of your opinion... people saw the jurassic park movies. And they heard the T-rex roaring. Why do u think its a good decision to replace this iconic sound, that is liked by this many people? Just because its the "same"? Most people play that game BECAUSE they want to be the big, badass reptiles that they saw in jurassic park.
Because dinosaurs are more than just JP and the lack of originality can mean that they can't really carry themselves without falling back to Jurassic Park tropes?
JP is cool but Dinosaur Media is more than just the Jurassic Series

Well, there goes my idea of rating the dinosaur models accuracy in Evrima. Anyway I'm sure this video will be great, I think you are the most appropiate person to do one of these 👍
(Also glad you're back)
I agreed with most of the things here, but I waited to clarify something about Minmi and Kunbarrasaurus, you p much caused a havoc in The Isle community because of the misinformation lol
Kunbarrasaurus used to be the same animal as minmi when it was discovered back in 1989, with the split of the genus only happening until 2015.
Minmi is a fragmentary fuck, lacking a skull and a lot of features, so I don't know where were you going with "actually looking like a minmi", specially since these recons are based off Kunbarrasaurus anyway.
Granted, Minmi is supposedly getting new material assigned to it in the future, apparently making it distinct from Kunbarra, but there's nothing we can do until we get there.
So yeah, TI's Minmi is fine with the way it looks for now (perhaps even the aquatic nature, but that's a way more controversial and subjective discussion). Congrats with having the balls to do such a bold tier list btw, I enjoyed it a lot.
